Long Distance Transport Needed
These ore deposits are several hundred meters away from the landing pod. I did a bit of exploring in a 1000 meter diameter. I did find additional nodes out there but having to run a belt 800 meters sounds daunting.

So, there actually were additional resource nodes spawned out there?? I was convinced that it was only ever one of each iron, "copper", coal, and minerals. I searched roughly 500m in every direction and i was bounded by mountains and rivers and never found anything

There's an endless supply of ores, but they are further out. You can use the map to check which areas have already been scanned and which ones haven't been.
