I went into the game knowing it was going to be a slow burn.
Just look how long it took them bringing the game to Steam EA from the Icth.io version….
It could be worse, just go look at Star Citizen…..
Thx game is pretty feature complete and I haven’t seen any bugs (of course I haven’t tried multiplayer, which seems that is where the bugs are)
BUT the new modular power plant looks cool? Why we would need all that power is yet to be seen. If it just for looks , then yeah....this game is dead to be honest. Maybe when they actually flesh out their game some more in 3 to 4 years , which seems likely judging from the past year of content. Yeah , its too bad though...game is fun for what it is for now. But that is not saying much really.
If you want a game that brings some content every week...then play: ICARUS....there are updates every week...Whether it's worth anything is another matter...and even then you can believe that at some point nothing more will come...maybe.
I prefer it to be slow and consistent.
Simply because there are players who like to build mega factories, kept requesting better power options, and the devs want to make it easy for players to build mega factories.
Alternative would be placing thousands of even millions of solar panels or boilers/turbines and fueling them. Like players did in Factorio before nuclear power was added.
It's no different from any other factory builder, it's your choice how big you build and how much power you use. You can build a small factory that doesn't need a ton of power or you could build a huge factory that needs dozens or even hundreds of GW of power.
I let you know how it goes but I suggest you do the same.
It worked with Bless Online, Helldivers 2 (when they wanted to link it with Sony) and a few more. Recently I only remember Concord.
If devs refuse do work on a game entirely and do not release a statement we might be eligible.
Factorio devs were resting on their laurels as well but at least they have the Friday Facts.
Plus you have the Holidays, that just got over.
They just did a massive thing with optimizing the display panels. A lot of work went into that optimization and it's going to make a huge difference for people given that basically everything has one of those panels on it.
People like you don't have any clue what kind of work goes into developing a game. You don't understand how complexity increases as you progress. You don't understand that actual progress takes time, and work, and you can't just expect it to be done.
Someone has to DO that work, and that takes TIME.
This kept me entertained for weeks.
Yeah, you don't seem to think the work is work.
Exactly what is it you expect them to do to the game, anyway?
Is there a particular thing you want them to add?
Is there particular work you want them to do?
Or are you just whining because you've come up with some grandiose concept of what you expect game developers to do for you?
I've played through the game in the current state, and I've spent a few years working with that Unity engine that they're having to work around. Work, around. When you get to the point where you're seriously optimizing your game, you're fighting Unity every step of the way. And that becomes a lot of unexpected work.
The game is in a pretty good state. You have a healthy progression through multiple science packs and an end game robot assembly line. What it needs on the gameplay front is maybe more of an end-game. End game, meaning that it's a relatively complete game, that could use a better wrap up.
That's the last 10% of a project that takes the other 90% of the time.
What do you honestly expect, and well ... how much are you willing to pay for your expectations?
Like the Orbital Laser or the new Power plant....
Plus they are posting every 2 weeks on Friday, with the latest one being today....
Anyway, looks like the refund request Didn't worked, as the mouse icon is still there.
The Hell Driver 2 Refund made sense, I know nothing about Bless Online, so can't really say anything about that one....
Here, I'm not seeing any reason for a refund, yet, if you are past the 2 hours.... Slow content patch releases isn't going to be a good reason... especially with them posting every other Friday with info.
Sadly seems to be getting more and more common.
I'm also somebody who is over 40. Maybe we're just more patient due to growing up when the internet and computers weren't so fast so you had no choice but to wait for updates to download, games to load, and playing at just 20 fps was amazing. My first computer was top of the line with a 35mb hard drive, a 25mhz cpu, and 4mb of ram, it cost my grandparents over $2k in the early 90s. I remember talking with friends back then about how a 1gb hard drive was an unfathomable amount of storage space, and now we have phones with a TB of storage.
