Launcher issues
Is there a guide to launch without installing and using the paradox launcher? It's really a big turnoff to the entire game that it seems to be dependent on this extra piece of software.

If you search the discussions there is a way. IDK what that is, but it has been talked about a lot. I have no problems with the launcher. So never used whatever workaround there is.

people keep talking like this is a launcher that locks access to your game behind a third party account ... but it doesn't even require a login ... all it does is give you a continue save button.

Exactly, plus it gives you news and update info. I really don't understand the issues with it.

Add this to launch commands in the properties tab in the game options. <YOURDRIVEHERE>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FOUNDRY\Foundry.exe %command%

This will auto skip the Paradox launcher.

You can just download the mod manager and launch Foundry from it which bypasses the launcher. I'm not actually sure I've even seen the launcher yet.

steam is my launcher period... if i was interested in other paradox games i would have bought them or had them on my wishlist. if i will be interested in a future paradox title i will notice them through steam.

... bad first impression already and i did not get into the game yet even. the last game which did this to me i refunded immediately ....

the store page did not mention a third party launcher or account, i would have been more hesitant to buy.
i would very much like this marketing nonsense to be removed please and be more respected as a gamer and customer....

So you want respect? - First of all, respect the game developer for the very good game they have released.

And now to Paradox...Paradox is installed (one way or another) - It's nothing bad and doesn't bother you. I don't understand many users who complain about Paradox...So far I haven't had any problems anywhere (that has to do with Paradox).

Please tell me about your problems...so I can see them.

I bought a game which does not have a continuous online service and would require an internet connection to play. If the store page would state, this comes with an advertisement showing launcher, there would be no Foundry in my library. Great for you, how accepting you are to have marketing shoved down your throat, it is a little different with me. This is simply disrespectful to me. It also shows a lack in confidence in the products of the publisher.
Foundry is solid as it is even, does the publisher need to piggyback their other titles on this game?
I cant refund anymore, just had too much fun, but i will not recommend or even talk about it with others. How do i know the launcher will not be involved in something more invasive?

It is a bad move.

So, as for marketing...I'm not being forced to do anything...I don't know what you mean. And as for the launcher - there's nothing bad involved anywhere...then my system would scream (high level security system)
