Suggestion - Displacing Water
I saw on reddit an idea to build an underwater base. Like a construct below a lake made from glass and Steel and inside a factory keeps pumping out resources. Seems like a great idea, but if you build in an existing lake you cant get the inside of the base dry without water displacement.
Currently you have to excavate a huge ditch of land, then build the base, make sure its 'airtight' and then flood the ditch to make it a lake. Also cool... but a lot, lot, lot more work.

You can if you fill the base with terrain after you've built it - but that also means digging out every square inch you want to be dry. X(

I do agree that it'd be great to be able to have moon pools and otherwise remove water from a location, though.
