Pipe
Hello,

I can't find any topic on this and I can't find info on the game itself

What is the amount of liquid a pipe can manage?

For belts, we have items per minute

Anyone know if it's unlimited?

thanks

ok, I'm not sure this is right, but if you have a pipe intake in you inventory and place you cursor over it, it says 30000 l/Min, so the pipes are probably same... 30k liters per Minute is nuts....

The limit is super high, over 100K/min...but maybe not much more than that. Super easy to test by filling a tank with a water source then timing it. I only timed the first 5K because tank filling slows drastically over time (and less than 5K was just too fast for me to time reliably). Took < 7secs with a single one....with 4 water sources (still with a 8 pipe segment of only a single to the tank) it was about 3....and then tried 9 sources and it was a tad under 3....maybe 2.75-2.85...hard to tell at that point. I tried 16 and it was the same (within the tolerance of my timing). 3 seconds to fill 5000L is 100K/min and it's definitely a littler faster than that...and also the tank slows it down a bit more as well.

Press v and point to the pipe that stores the liquid and gas. You notice each pipe will store up to 500l. chemical processor will keep running until each pipe holds 500l

Pipes work like they did in older Factorio - flow rate is proportional to difference in fill % between a pipe segment and a next one. So the pipe throughput depends on its length - very short pipes are super fast, while very long pipelines are slow.

If you want a super high flowrate thing, build with pumps and tanks at the corners.

Anyone tested a line of tanks, no pipes?

This is why Satisfactory added Pumps in on pipes, I notice on the pipeline and modular storage tank that it all keeps level on flow. This would stop if we had pumps to make flow faster on longer distances, one way delivery output pumps.

What I see I added a 600000l Modular storage tank. When I look at the Tank and pipe.

Tank at 42800 = pipeline 428l , so I am interested to see when it gets higher in value.
so theory says Pipeline can hold 6000l right. single pipes connected to this should blow up with the pressure Lmao. Testing, if devs see this they properly having a laugh.
