loader second lane and splitters
Hello, I have the loader second lane but it looks just like the one lane loader and has only one input and output. How do I take advantage of the second lane? Also, does this game have splitters and mergers like in Satisfactory? I have one drone miner and four smelters and I'm trying to feed all four with the one miner and I can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!

Second lane loader *only* loads from second lane. It's just 1 tile further out.

Splitter/merger is researched pretty early on. I think it's called a balancer.

You don't need splitters/mergers for smelting, just put all your smelters in a line, run one belt past them, and have a loader on each so they pull what they need from the belt. Same thing applies at the other end, you can have multiple miners all feeding on to the same belt.

The second lane loader is just a normal loader but longer, it lets you reach across one extra tile so you can run two belts down one side of a machine and load/unload from both of them, but it still only works on one belt and won't pull from the near-side belt which just goes straight under it.

Basically the 2nd lane loader is just like a long inserter in Factorio, there is a 3rd lane loader because their 3 inputs on the some of machines, so you can load 3 items on one side, probably because unlike Factorio, belts only have a single line instead of 2 lines on one belt.
To explain further, you need BOTH single and double loaders to intake two items on same side. Use single loaders for the first lane. Double loaders for the second lane. The single loaders pull items from first lane, the double loaders ignore items on the first lane and pull items only from second lane.
