FOUNDRY

FOUNDRY

why purchase this over a game such as factorio or satisfactory?
what does this game bring to the table that those two or others like it don't?

why not

Because you probably already own and have played the other two?
Foundry is a voxel game. So right away creativity tends to be a bit more, even though Satisfactory has added a lot of models over time. This game you can dig, and mine, etc. Gives you a real freedom of a voxel game.

Also why not both?

Odd question to ask, why buy any new game that is newer then older ones. The quick answer is this is not any of those games, and is different enough to be new. Why buy Call Of Duty 300? Odd question.

Why not?
It brings new perspective to "factory games" if You like this "genre".

seems like they either do not know how to answer the question asked or (other....) as I wonder the same myself,

IMO at a glance it seems like a slightly different take on the whole factory world destroyer game thing, and I do like these games and this looks like at a glance some thing worth looking a bit deeper into as I do really find some peace of the madness these types of games give.

it is no coincidence we find our self's here for the most part, these type of games fill a sense of purpose and give hope as we are able to make a better world with our own minds, an escape.

watch some vids on the game and see if it is your jams, I think for myself this wont miss

Satisfactory is just way superior if you want Unreal Engine graphics.

Because I've played both and am tired of them.
I'd throw them all in the trash for the Fortresscraft Evolved: phoenix project to come out already.... But this will have to do. Random generation and voxels are far more fun for me.

Same for me, I've been looking forward to FCE:phoenix for a long time now but that game will probably still take many many years to complete. I'm not even sure it is ever going to be completed since DJarcas rarely streams his development of the game anymore like he did in the good old days with FCE. But there is still hope that he will find his muse and apply himself fulltime on a single project again.

I do have said games and some time into them aswell, much fun was had and I still go back in with no ideas, Astro Colony has kept me going for a few weeks now, in that game you explore the universe and build a ship with your factory on the ship, both getting bigger and better as you go, nice little game imo, but still EA like so many.

and a big YES to the 5.3 unreal upgrade to Satisfactory, between the looks and musice, it is such a chill game, helps me sleep

Why play another platforming game when you've got Mario? Why play another RPG when you've got Baldur's Gate 3? Why play another shooter when you've got Helldivers?

Are you for real dude?

a robot you can pet that gives you tasks/quests as you try to contact headquarters, which is mysteriously unresponsive. maybe they're planning to add some narrative elements in the future? being able to reshape the 3D terrain is pretty nice, too.
