Mining Underwater ore?

Is there a smart way of doing it? or am I just blowing up the water around the ore and putting my miners there? can I siphon it? if I fill it with foundation and remove the middle is the water gonna disappear Minecraft-style?

is it exposed to the underwater surface, or below it. If below, I usually just mine a tunnel beneath the water and dig out a cave around the ore, filling in any leaks with stone. Then just take ore back out same tunnel. pretty sure you can fill in area with whatever block and remove the middle to get dry ground if it is exposed to the underwater surface, time consuming, but it should work like Minecraft method.

I found it works underwater. I tried to siphon it out too, but gave up.

Thank you, unfortunately, I accessed it from the water so I have to fill it , having miners work underwater is violating OSHA so no go. :)

Put a roof over it, bulk fill with foundation blocks and then mass delete them, should remove the water with minimal effort.

Well what do you mean bulk fill? Since afaik you can only fill one layer (vertical or horizontal)

Jimbo just means to fill in the entire area, then remove the center

Mining Drones work fine underwater.

I gave up long ago trying to keep underwater stuff dry. It can be a pain As the jetpack doesn't work underwater, but once built and running, I rarely go back to the site, so, no biggie.
