The Best Parts of FOUNDRY!!!
What is the best part of Foundry for you, and why exactly?

What have you got here that you were so craving for, but never got in other games?

A few good things that I enjoy from Foundry:

1) Voxel based, so I can reshape the terrain anyway I want. I like being able to run conveyors underground or through mountains to keep things tidy and organized.

2) Underground mining is pretty cool IMO. And creating your "mining base" if you go for that sort of thing.

3) While there is a lot of depth with Foundry, the pacing is faster than Satisfactory, which I like. Factorio and Satisfactory are more complex (at least atm) but there is a good balance of complexity and game play loop/time here with Foundry imo.

4) Jetpack in Foundry > Satisfactory, by A LOT.

I'm just now building the ship ports, so I'm still beginning of mid-game.

setting up production lines. connecting new ore deposits to the factory. figuring out tricky 3d logistics puzzles. piling more spaghetti on the spaghetti pile.

and most importantly, hovering over my factory with my jetpack. after suffering with 'Satisfactory's' unsatisfactory jetpack, Foundry's is pure awesomeness

oh, and can't forget roleplaying divebomber tossing explosives to flatten the landscape for factory expansion

True. I have to use a flying mod in Satisfactory because its jetpack is so lacking.

It makes sense and its easy to build in 3d - sometimes more sense than factorio.
It just works and you can build anywhere - a lot more than satisfactory

Recipes in Foundry feels closer to Factorio in terms of production speed unlike satisfactory where every few recipes goes up to 30 seconds or more to build.

C4 cave remover is fun for a while. Just enough to be done with it until next time.

seems a lot of people in here havent played satisfactory in a while or not far enough. you will unlock a hover pack after the jetpack which lets you pretty much do what this ones jetpack does.

as for the topic: i love the terraforming. the underground mining. they should put everything but the first 2 nodes deeeeep under ground if you ask me. play to their strengths. the elevator digging its way through on its own is just perfect. also having several stops in one, so good.

same goes for the transport lifts BUT the throughput for their size is a joke, they need to add a 1x2 belt lift with a hight limit of 10 or so which you can use for normal in-base belting and have the huge lifts for mining shafts and up the throughput.

i did hope water would be a lot better though. filling all the spaces where it would flow into. but it doesnt really.

requires power line nearly in touching distance, can't fly around and explore the map randomly unless you drag a power line everywhere, obnoxious flashing indicator when near edge of range

what are you? slenderman? the range is 36 meters while a foundation is 8 meter thats 4 and a half foundations in any direction. thats enough range that you never have to touch the ground again if done right. sure the one in foundation is superior but to compare it to the jetpack instead the hover pack is doing satisfactory wrong.
