Blast Furnace Hot Air
I built the blast furnace, and I have multiple hot air stoves which all say they are working and it adds up to the needed air. I have pipleines running together and into the blast furnace. I set the filter to hot air, but it says insufficient hot air and all filters not set. The furnace is fully loaded but says 0 hot air 0 degrees. I set all the filters around the base. Where the hot air connects to the blast furnace, it says output, not input when I set it to hot air. I don't see anyway to switch it to intake? Is that the issue? Is the blast furnace currently bugged?

It's not bugged, the furnace works as intended.

You need the following setup for a fully upgraded blast furnace:

3 x Hot Air Stoves, fully upgraded
2 x Air Intake, fully upgraded

Don't forget to set the intake filter for the hot air at the blast furnace. They are located where the air input is. You need to set 3 filters at the blast furnace to work properly (hot air intake, slag and molten xeno/technum outputs). The blast furnace does not have an air output.

THANK YOU! I did not see the filters set by the intakes since they aren't visible from outside the building.

Where is the filter for hot air? I can't seem to find it the pipes for the outputs are right on the pipe but where is the one for the inputs?

Found it, for anyone else looking it's on the catwalk side of the pipe input for hot air

found it thank you

Not to hijack the thread, but anybody have numbers on 1. Efficiency for a fully graded blast furnace (I see 15 molten = 5 items, but that's not useful because I don't know the ore:molten ratio)...and 2. The throughput of ore->plates/rods per min?

Asking because this thing seems like an absolute beast to setup, and I just want to know if it's really worth it...especially since it's easier to setup fracking and get unlimited ore anyway. Also I'm concerned it won't have enough throughput for my underground mining setup (I have a 20 point node 100% tapped)...which means I'd have to build MULTIPLE of these beasts (plus all the other modular parts that are required with it)....and then I guess there's byproducts to also get rid of. Is it really worth it, or is it just kind of a "it's fun and looks cool" thing? I'll probably build it either way, but I just want to know if I should consider doing it now with my new Xeno factory I'm setting up.

Guys, but how to insert resources to blast furnace? I set up four filters, but metal doesn't go to the furnace

blast furnace
per min stats
Intake
6400 Ore
3200 Coke Ignium
1280 Mineral Rock

Output
23040 Molten Ore
2560 Slag

if my math is right you will get 12 belts (tier 3) of Plates/rods (7680)
and you will get ~72 Cement per min have build my first full graded but it is not running need MORE ore to test it and testing do i only when i can use everything from it hope it helps

It's not that hard actually.

1*640 Belt of Ore, 128 Mineral Rock, 320 ♥♥♥♥♥ Ignium = 5760 Molten Ore.

48 Casting Machine will consume 5760 Molten Ore and Output 3*640 Belts of Rod or Plates.

So the Ratio is not that Hard too get. If you want More just Put in more Ore, you only need one of this Beasts, even for 9 x 640 Belts which would be insane :)

Power Wise, Run a Blast Furnace for example 6*640 Belts, you End up with about 25-40 MW not included Drones and Miners.

I think you mean the filter settings station?

as far as dealing with slag 4 chem processors and 1 incinerator(if your not recycling cement) per blast furnace
