Report a translation problem
It's easier to understand if you think of decorative blocks as being purely for decoration, and use building blocks if you want to conduct electricity.
The problem being that they're not actually doing their job of being decorative if we can't even turn on a light in our primo office design.
If that happens, I'd like you to make changes to the lighting as well.
Since the shape of the decorative blocks can be changed, it's difficult to place lighting neatly...

I definitely want to echo OP's opinion here, if I'm going top spend all the time making a nice looking megafactory, I'd like to be able to light my floor and office without the room looking like a steel cage.
If the issue is resource management, maybe add a powered deco block option that has the same resource requirements as a foundation?
