Item lifts with small footprints

I hope to see lifts with a smaller footprint than the elevators but until then here are 2 concepts for escalators. I'm sure others have done them as well. One is just a straight escalator, the other has drop offs and inserts on each floor. Time to redo my factory. Again ;)
