[Suggestion] Fluids/Gases: Barelling
Allowing to store and transport fluids by filling them into reusable barrels.

1) Add a recipe for a steel barrel (e.g. 2x Steel) (and a 3D model for the belts)
2) Add filling-recipes for each fluid/gas via the Fluid Assembler taking an amount of fluid from the pipes and an empty barrel (and a 3D model for the belts for each type maybe a barrel with a color-band matching the fluid color)
3) Add emptying-recipes for each fluid/gas for the Fluid Assembler putting fluids back into the pipe system and outputting an empty barrel.

Voilá that's it already. We can now transport fluids via transporter or even transport the fluids ourselves between sites.

If not for all types of fluids than at least for the major ones:
- Olumite
- Water
- Fracking Liquid
- Liquid Fuel
- Olumic Acid

That would be enough already. Not necessary to add all the intermediate fluids and gases.

Not sure how much should fit into a barrel? Perhaps 100L? But in that case please make the filling and emptying really quick. Or make the barrels bigger but the recipe slower.

Why not just a Fluid Cargo Ship? It has a tank instead of cargo hold. Would be less work than barreling and unbarreling everything like in satisfactory.

Why not both? There are distinct scenarios for both uses and Transport-Planes are endgame and quite bulky.

cause bulk fluid would be best and far more efficient process wise, the terminals are massive and you'd have to ship the barrels back which means four terminals instead of two so you're right back around to you're primary issue, the size of the terminals. we measure oil by the barrel, we ship it by the ship, by the train, and the closer it gets to you the smaller the container gets.

Barreling/unbarreling is a boring and annoying mechanic. We already have pipelines for short/medium distances and a tanker ship (plus trains when/if they get implemented) would fill the long range role nicely.

Noone is forcing you to use it. Why so hostile to more options? This is a simple to use and easy to understand mechanic which can be used for interrim purposes until you manage to setup an automated or long-term solution.

Barreling can be useful when you need to ship multiple fluids in small amounts to the same destination.

Or when you need so little that building a pipeline or a full blown local refinery seems overkill. Especially if it's really far away.
