Currently the point, is to build things to sale, to make “money” just you use the “money” to make more things to make more “money”.
Getting the Golden Coffee Cup, In Satisfactory is the closest thing to "You win" Or You can make a Ticket Farm, to Earn all of the Statues, could be seen as a secondary objective.
Factorio isn't in Early Access, so its complete story is available.
Satisfactory has a storyline that isn't disclosed and locked out, but will be available once it leaves Early Access. That may be this year, the last time I checked in on Satisfactory.
Foundry has an incomplete storyline because it is in Early Access, there's been hints that there will be more, with an eventual end goal.
As you listed off with Satisfactory, one could identify personal goals that signal the end of your current run. In fact, that's advisable to come up with boundaries of that type to prevent "burning out" a game that's in Early Access.
hmm, they're coming out with space age for factorio; as i said, at a core level, technically, the rocket is just an arbitrary win button, like the one at the end of dyson sphere's tree, the devs for the later even admit so. at a core level, here, you're there to sell robots; this means you need to build, so you can build robots to build robots; i can't see the future, that's a failure with E.A., and i find it against my ethics to attempt and sell anyone on the mystery box any such product represents.
and i beg not to be mistaken here: i'm not saying it as a critique, there is nothing wrong with "i win" buttons in building games, and narrative being not a huge factor didn't hurt doom, ect. the core loop needs to be fun, mainly...
as some devs have pointed out: some people need direction, some people rebel against any direction; but every game should have a goal. but this is a factory game and here the game won't "end"; you will either stop for a reason that should be fine for everyone, or keep building till the game or your computer can't keep up with the size of your factory. but for me, i'm busting an oil node every day though i'm at 20 for efficiency, i don't like the look of the pipes screensaver it takes to keep branching out for more oil, and the digging is verifiable a chore which i dunno how remained skipped by the devs attention; so "i've won" and i'll move on, and i wish everyone the best in finding their endgame whatever that might be.
My "win" conditions are:
I've unlocked all tech.
I've gathered and am using all resources (usually required for the previous point)
My factory functions smoothly
My factory looks the way i want it to.
At that point, there's nothing new left to do. Anything after that is just rehashing what you've already done. When i hit this stage, i consider it a win and usually stop playing till the urge to do it all over again strikes me.
That's just me though. Some people will build or rebuild endlessly, and that's fine too. It's whatever you find fun.
