Why no enemies?
To my knowledge there is no plans to add enemies... why?
I understand some players like a peaceful game and that's fine, however, why not include the option to have enemies or play without. I've been waiting for first person factory game with enemies for a while and hoped satisfactory could fit the bill but it didn't. The perfect factory game should basically be HD2 x factorio in first person.

Maybe thst is not the vision the DEVS have for the game. Maybe they didn't want to bother with it. Maybe they are adding machine upkeep instead of enemies. There are lots of scenarios.

Machine upkeep would be a cool aspect, but lots want enemies it seems so what I would recommend is lots of customization on your game like, hostiles, machine upkeep, recourse richness and freq, ect. It doesn't have to be just one aspect rules all. And if the devs don't want to add it, a community modding aspect could really help, sharing builds, and ideas.

I've not seen them say they outright against adding Enemies. Maybe it's just not a priority?
I know they said a pressure mechanics are something they are adding.
From one of the devs in another thread:

We are experimenting with pressure mechanics and potential combat. At this point it's not clear if we are going to add any such feature, but we understand that it's highly requested and therefore we are looking into it.

It's very important to state clearly that any sort of pressure mechanic would always be optional and could be turned off for a more relaxed gameplay style.

Fortress craft evolved is outdated and scuffed af tbh, would be insanely good if a modern take on it like foundry existed but with a global threat.

Fortresscraft Evolved Phoenix exists as a sequel and is being developed.

Have you even looked at foundry? You could mix screenshots between Foundry and FortressCraft and you wouldn't even be able to tell them apart.

You can't really tell them apart. Why? Because they are in their ground idea the same.
The problem with "`FCE" is it's been abandoned by it's developer/programmer and is in a state of "playable until unplayable". It has bugs in it to a point you can't play it anymore.

This game seems more "modern" in it's design (better graphics) and has a programmer studio to fix bugs (hopefully) for the near future. So you're going to get a "FCE" with smoother graphics and (i hope so) more future enhancements + bug fixes.

"FCE," as you called it, is being developed by a single individual—see my "FCE" Phoenix sequel post above.

I know but the game was abandonded and has many bugs like ongoing fog in upper world and the spider bot is nearly not to control. The game has many bugs and is in a state like ongoing early access.
It's playable but in my opinion "Foundry" is the new FCE with hopefully ongoing developing and bugfixing. I'll give this new game a chance to replace FCE because I liked FCE but was anoied by it's bugs and unfinished developement.

I don't disagree that the base game FCE has issues.

I own FCE as well.

I see the Foundry game focuses more on base building and production chain and less on tower defense or combat-focused mechanics.
