Loaders arent loading

So loaders work fine when it comes to taking things out of a machine, but right now they dont seem to want to load.

What sort of finesse do you need to get loaders to actually load?

Is your loader on a platform ? Otherwise it won't

I think I figured it out. Loaders will only load when the machine needs "needs" input.

Example: My loader did not start loading raw ore into my smelter until there was only 3 raw ore left in the smelter. Then it kept it right at 3 while the smelter continued to do its thing.

The assembler takes everything it can get, by comparison. I had to flip the intake to output just so I could get enough plates to do anything else...

Loaders only load production machines until they contain 3 times the cost of one action. So if something requires 1 plate, the loader will stop once there are 3 plates in the machine.

That makes sense then. I had my smelter loaded to the max and it didnt accept more items til it used them all up.
