Good, I want more knockoffs, that's how we get great games that are better than their originals or on equal par - such as with Diablo that spawned Grim Dawn and games such as Last Epoch which those two latter ones are way better than Diablo will ever be again.
I want competition in this genre, and this is what I want. I want a Minecraft/Satisfactory/Factorio combination in a procedurally generated world, with near infinite levels of exploration, crafting, base building, and factory setup optimization.
but apart from that amazing game good job
I was confused by this as well.
in multiplayer, the few animations the players have dont really fit stylistically, the robots have a weird little jog thats used for pretty much anything
transporting resources over long distance is just using more conveyor belts, which can get to be a bit of a pain, especially if its meant to be for more then what one or two belt lines can supply, and while connecting these belt lines, you might as well connect everything with building blocks, making power poles (that are weirdly deep into research) practically useless
speaking of, currently theres no real reason for a large production line, the research, while slow to craft (i have as of right now only used assembler I), arent needed in such large amounts that you need a huge amount of industry, and everything seems to be for research, theres no little side projects you can make like cars and such that you find in factorio and satisfactory
terrain generation, while impressive for alpha, could use a little work, i continue to find little 1x1x2 holes around that the player constantly falls into
the movement feels a little floaty/slippy, making missteps into a hole pretty easy
final thing off the top of my head
ore being underground is a fun and obvious idea for a destructible world, however, the process of digging a hole big enough to build a decent mining set up around the deposit feels like a slog (admittedly i didnt have explosives, if that was the intended way), i ended up with thousands of blocks i probably wont use, just to get a decent amount exposed for the mining drones to gather from. maybe some form of machine to dig a designated area, vehicle, repurposed drones, anything like that, could make the task less laborious
and speaking of blocks why are player placed blocks always a different colour to the natural ones? it makes filling in unneeded or accidental mined ground an eyesore
Right away as I loaded into the world, the tutorial didn't start for me, and yet it did for my friend. Luckily he explained it to me, and when we progressed my tutorial was synced with him.
I enjoyed the game, building a factory and running around the world like a headless chicken, eventually finding oil I can never access. I thought it was weird how the parts fit together in the factory, but it eventually grew on me and I really enjoy it! However I do think Loaders are too big, it makes my factory miles big.
The main things that threw me off were the lack of animations in the game, it was hilarious seeing my friend run into a ladder and move vertically without ever stopping his run animation, but that's something that should probably be addressed.
I also think there needs to be more ways to dig - Perhaps vehicles that run off Ignium, or a Tool-Setting in the drill where if you right-click and have Ignium you can use a 3x3 drill, etc. Just anything to make digging easier.
Maybe Maybe something involving blocks too, it was a little disappointing to find out I can't make stone stairs, it has to be metal. Maybe the metal stairs could have the advantage of transferring energy diagonally?
I think this was a really fun demo all in all, and I definitely plan to get the full release and play though it!

2.1) Loaders - if you place them near, they should automatically attach to it.
2.2) We should be able to make a corner with the first belt placed at the loader.
2.3) It would be even better if we didn't need to use a loader.
3)Rotation - Could we use the "Q" button to rotate to the left side, or anti-clockwise?
