After 20 hrs, my take on the current state of the game.
Take it with a grain of salt, but it is just my Opinion. I realize more content is coming and I probably have not seen all the actual layers yet... BUT... After only 20 hours I pretty much have maxed out at end game stage with no feeling of any real challenges remaining. It was fun getting here initially but then as time progresses, what I thought was going to be a technical and development game, ends up seemingly just being a limited resource management game. I come from games like "Gear City" and "Rule the Waves" where you actually develop products and compete against other competitors who are trying to beat you in one way or another. I wish there was more fine tuning and customization... Also, I don't necessarily need the competition, but what I do like is the "ground up" development. product testing. new ideas and combination, and aggressive expansion. This game, so far, seems to lack some depth that for me would add more enjoyment and replay-ability in that regard as well. I bought a large adjoining lot and while I am using a small part of it, it seems like a let down since I did not expect a 100 worker cap.. That's a start. For now, this game is cute, fun at first, and seems more like casual android or console player game. Fun,. cute, and exciting... but just not enough. I remain hopeful but spoiled.

I do realize it is a new game so is why I did not post as a review. I think it is "bright" and brings a newness to the genre. I also realize it is EA. I am not knocking it, so much as trying to say that I "wish very much" that there was more depth/layers/player customization in the product design, etc. Would also be nice to have different markets to build factories in. RnD would be cool with wind tunnels, a mini track for handling tests. I would really like more options so maybe my company ends up being more experienced in Trucks; the Market Leader. So I decide to "break into" the luxury and sport car market as an inexperienced outsider with large capitol. Perhaps I enter with a unique feature my trucking builder has experience in, Ground effects for aerodynamics and adjustable air shocks. Maybe I was the innovator and no one is implementing either tech. I, have the ability to outsource components from my owned subsidiary and suddenly knock out one struggling competitor company and acquire another. Stuff like that. NOW I have to: consolidate acquired assets, adjust products in development, and incorporate their tech.

keep checking back here, but i'll likely be much closer to actually buying when i hear actual AI competition is implemented, certain screens indicate to me this is coming, but when? p it's easy to max out currently...it's competition that will actually transform this into an exciting competitive challenging and much more realistic experience, i hope.
