You can get to a snowball state in about 2-3 hours. After that all research can be done. You are artificially slowed by your income. any staffing or car researching can be done very quickly especially on max speed. A good portion of the more interesting things are locked behind a "in development coming soon" flag on the research tree. You can get to 1960/70s cars before 1900 if you snow balll right.
All in all its got 0 effort to its balancing. Lack of communication from its devs. A Road map that pretty much says there is no dates for these things, they will be released as voted for by the playerbase meaning there is no order to when the features are released and they will get released based on a small vote that has an unknown time scale.
Stick it in your wish list and keep an eye on it. If finished it has the potential to be a rather fun factory tycoon game. There is the caveat though, "IF".
