Car Quality
Hello
I would like to have an automatic quality control system. Adjustable, too. From good to excellent.
If a car comes off the production line that is worth less than the set value, it is automatically sent to the workshop.
That would be great.
Best regards.

I literally came to the discussions for the same reason, I'm I've just started playing and set up my first workshop and instantly noticed the lack of automation on that.
I have to go through each car individually and select cars to go for repair.
I really want a setting so that i can have cars that are under my specified minimum quality go automatically to the repair shop

Please...Please automate the car status: car repair.
Thank you

I'd rather it be a choice of manual or automatic QC. Also training makes a big difference in the quality of your cars. Having the scanner set as the last stop on before leaving the assembly plant also makes a big difference.

It doesn't do anything. You can remove it.

it does do something. it just doesnt affect quality. it registers the cars quality or you need to have a repair shop look at it.
the repair shop is worse pre-robot since the scanner does not take manpower. without the scanner or repair shop all cars will have a null quality no matter what their actual quality is.

currently quality only creates a positive or negative bonus to the chance of the car being sold. so its not "necessary" to have any quality to the car if you have a lot of positive bonuses to RNG chance of sale already or if you have such a insanely high popularity and salesman level it just negates everything else.

early-mid game its generally worth it just for helping get the cars sold quickly. once you get a lot of the sales research done, it becomes unimportant.

end game you can crank out nothing but Poor quality cars and they sell just fine.

The way the game does quality feels like a coin toss. The difference between level 3 everything and no QC to having level 9+ everything and all QC done and on the line is minimal at best.

So far I have no difference between 1 station, 2 stations, 4 stations and 11 stations. Poor cars are rolling off the line while my QC people are off rolling something to get them through the day.

I shouldn't be seeing a poor car right now. Decent..? Sure. Mondays are hard. But not poor. Way too much invested in QC to be having poor anything.

I feel like I'm playing a Poor car version of whack a mole. I wanna play whack a mole I mosey on down to Chuck E Cheese and crash a birthday... ?B)

And yah. When I can sell those same poor quality cars for 300% and they fly out as fast as I can make them.... Enjoy it while you can. Don't think it will be too long before the buying public starts getting wind of it and decides to buy something else.

I don't think full lots will be a problem once we get stuck with the junk or have to sell it off cheap just to keep the cars moving.

Just a matter of time...

Cheers..!

if you level your mechanics, add the car quality bonus to each station, you generally will not get poor cars they will be good or better on average with the occasional poor car in there.

part of the quality system is the parts quality feature planned but not yet implemented so i agree the system is pretty annoying at the moment, but if you know how sales works its not game breaking, you can get around it easy enough.

Yeah. This must be an oversight. There isn't even a way to know the quality unless you click on each car. Had there at least been a visible difference between a poor and an excellent quality car it would help with identifying the need for repairs.

But, at larger scale manufacturing this will only become a headache, if you care about the quality and can't automate it.

The 'Test Station' is where we should be able to set the desired quality level, and if below it, it would automatically be flagged for repairs.

I think it also would be cool if the buyers go to the best quality products in the lot first, not picking up the newest product that just freshly produced from the production line. I have some product that has been in the lot for two years, excellent condition but the buyers keep getting the newest but poor quality first. It doesn't make any sense at all.

I agree with the tread topic, and this as well. I price my cars at +400%, and still can't make enough cars to ever have a surplus on the lot. In addition to this, my poor quality cars often sell faster than I can even send them to the garage for repairs.

In addition to all this, if you have a car line priced highly, you shouldn't be able to sell poor quality cars at all until they have been repaired. Sure, some of my potential buyers leave saying the car quality is too low, but the guy behind him buys it without a second thought.
