Lots of customers...no sales?

I have a car park full of cars. I have a sales office full of ready customers. I have 5 sales agents to 4 sales desks.

But I have no one selling my cars. They all just crowd around the display stands.

I've read the discussions and Pinned post about the so called fix, and I'm on the most recent version of the game, but its still not working.

Literally unplayable as I just bleed money despite having lots of stock available to sell

my guys are selling fine, t III sitting on 35k. level up your salesman, adjust the price lower, invest in increasing base popularity after car release. did you start a new save or play a existing one?

it may be a save file conflict with the update

They aren't failing to sell. They aren't even trying. The salesmen + the customers just gather around the displays before giving up and leaving.

And its not a save conflict as this has happened on new games post-update

I have this issue too. I have also reported it as a bug. It's happened quite late in the game and seems to be an issue with more than 1 or 2 salesmen. This could do with a quick fix to make the game playable through to the end, otherwise it just stops in its tracks.

Have you tried deleting the sales area and or the salesmen? I don't have this problem but sometimes other things just randomly stop working. And deleting the offending item and replacing it with a new one usually fixes it.

is the car released for sale? is the sales screen showing it ticked off for being allowed to be sold? and the post above was right trying selling the sales point and putting a new one.

What's the rating of your cars when you sell? And....do you actually have cars waiting to be sold? No cars in the lot = no sale.
They don't just buy a car and wait for you to build it. It must be built, waiting in the parking lot

I had this, the sales man just standing about - if you select the sales man what is there status? - I had them "selling" but didn't do anything - found two reasons, one was stuck on an object for me it was a door frame, had to delete the door
The other just seemed bugged, there was a customer waiting at the chair but the sales man just refused to go there, for this I sent the salesman to "rest" to break the action, that one customer left (he'd been waiting a while) then it worked fine

I have found this with at least 1 salesman each time I load a save, as such I send all my salesman to rest as soon as I load up

Idk what the rating is. Its not a case of customers coming in viewing then leaving shortly after. They are waiting for a long time, and seems more like they time out / get tired of waiting. And the cars were initially selling but then just stopped

And yes I had a carpark full of cars ready to sell so stock was not an issue.

Like I said. All that happens is both customers AND sales people just stand around the display, and don't actually go to the desks to start the selling process.

Their status iirc is Idle

I've only seen this when it is time to update my car stock....as in new models. Popularity is not an indicator of how well the car will sell. At least, this is what I've experienced.

It was a brand new model.

Brand new model. Lots of customers waiting. Adequate staff for all desks. Lots of stock available waiting to be sold. Sales people just idling. Everyone stares at the display. Eventually customers just leave no sale.

This happened to me. I had bought extra space, and had four lines of 20 stations with robot arms, and 2 lines of 6 stations with robot arms. I moved my sales building, and noticed a sudden loss of income. I have about 40-50 cars waiting to be sold, but customers come in, they look at my display cars, then they leave. No salesman even tries. I'm essentially soft locked now. I can't fire my salesmen, because I'm in the negative after the sharp decline in sales, which means I can't hire any salesmen. I've also tried force resting them, as well as reloading.

Edited to Add: I found a fix that worked for me. I'm not sure why it worked, though. I first tried sending all my salesmen to train again (they were level 5, I upped them all to level 6). Then, I started force selling cars in my lot to empty some spaces out. As I did, and new cars arrived on the lot, I suddenly began selling cars again.

I've had this issue. At first the sales was going very well, I was making a small fortune. Then the sales dropped and practically stopped. So...I went bust. So far it's happened to every one of my games, always the same result...loss of sales and going bust again. I lowered the price of the car, trained the sales guy, promotions...the result always the same. It's definitely a bug that needs fixing.

Thanks, I had the same issue right now, this easy trick solved the bug. Needs fixing.

You say no sell, but here's the proof, is your balance increasing?, because if it is the cars are being sold, though i have similar issues where i don't see the salesman and the client/customer, actually sitting down and making a deal most of the time , but if the mulah's increasing then they must be..
