From your name, I see you welcome confrontation. I'm not going to play, for three reasons.
First, I was identifying a game that many people on this thread might enjoy.
Second, you own, and have played, Gear City.
Third, you own over two hundred games that I also own..which is pretty remarkable, so instead of utterly destroying you verbally, I'll let you slide.
Absolute BS, Gearcity is a hardcore sim focused on economics and car design while this is a more streamlined sim focused on factory efficiency and production lines. Its like you didn't even play this game at all.
I also own Production Line, this game seems more like Production Line than GearCity, as it's focused more on the production line aspect. I'd check to see if you own Production Line, but honestly, I don't care to know your profile like the back of my hand.
GearCity I don't believe is like that, that being said I haven't played GearCity in 2 1/2 years so maybe it's changed since then. I feel like GearCity and Automation have more in common with the hardcore sim aspect.
I own Production Line, and enjoy it. Kind of fiddly, in a good way.
Gear City, you can design individual components for your cars, and then set up production lines. In that sense, it is more precise and granular than this game, which appears to be much simplified.
Automation, by my friend Killrob, is exellent, and more detailed still, and is more of an engine simulation than real game.
Still..there is enough room in the gaming world for a lot more sims...which you and I both clearly enjoy.
I am surprised you don't play more Against the Storm..which is one of my favorite games, as well as NIMBY.
Really disappointed that their wasn't more improvement after the demo.

Great at being a complicated mess.
Second computer, second install. The other version had hundreds of hours. Thanks for playing. Don't you have to get back to work? Oh..and do a better job cleaning the fry station.
Hey guys, they are different games, why do you insist on comparing different things???
I tried Gear city it sucked to me I refunded it within 2 hour window it was so screwed up this one much better I even like it better then production line which I kept PL and played alittle while. GC you just spend your time in a office never see the car being built.
