Any crossplay?

I noticed there is currently only 124 players playing this game on Steam. Does it have any crossplay with consoles for online play? Because if not there is no doubt that in a few days or weeks there will be maybe 10 players left, basically a dead game for online play. I'm tempted to buy it but with a game that only has like 100 players on release it's not looking very positive for continued online play.

Everyone is saying it's dead. So it's probably dead. 100 or 3-400 players doesn't make a difference.

Maybe I'll wait a week or two and check player numbers then. Although I fear there will only be like 5 players online a week or two if release day has barely more than 100 players online. But I'll think about maybe buying it anyway for singleplayer because it looks fun on streams and last Olympic game I played was Sydney 2000.

Steam only shows numbers above 300 visually on the community or steam stats page, but for lower numbers you can see the numbers on those sites.

Yeah most people seem to play online rather than solo so even with like 130 players it's easy to find people right now. Although that probably won't last forever.

Man i was so hyped for this game... but when i noticed it only has an avergae of 100 players online on it's two first days it's such a huge let down....

And the problem is the game is fun, a lot of fun (bugs/lag aside) and i see myself spending hundreds of hour on it just competing online, but SEGA didn't advertise it in any way so right now that only could happen if they set a free weekend and make a 50% sale for a week or so, then it will have at least 1k-2k and will be enough to keep a semi decent player base between sale and sale.

For now very sadly i requested a refund, but i will keep an eye on this game and rebuy it once its population grows.

Edit: I refunded but rebought it on keys site. 30 bucks xD

In 30 days the olympic games will start. I assume it will have some influx of players before or during that time, maybe coupled with a discount or something.

Yes i think they will probably do a sale when Olympic Games start but they need to do a huge marketing movement cause most people won't buy it knowing it's dead, so i think a free weekend would be the best idea.

Most sports gamers are on consoles, so there's probably not much incentive to advertise on PC.

Yavin and I have had tons of full lobbies today! It's more active now than on launch. Gotta wait for the right events, you're gonna have the most people during stuff like 100m.
