Not working!

Starts with "no sounds or not devices found"
Then after clicking on diff devices, a strange noise..like stuttering (annoying). I have tried verything... for now is useless, and consumes a looot of resources!
Any ideas? thanks

Yeah, not all audio drivers play well with WASAPI. Heard of others who had this exact problem. I'm afraid all you can do is disable software which alters the sound, and try different audio devices.

We'll look into supporting more audio API's in an upcoming release in addition to WASAPI, seems like it could help. Those are more tricky to set up, but if wasapi simply doesn't work it's maybe a good option.

If I don't have a sound card does it mean I cant use this sofware? I jumped and bought all the dlcs, turned on the software and it says it can't detect any sound.. I'm crying right now. Funnily it detects my microphone and I can see the visualizers work as I am talking and it is dead gorgeous, why would it detect my mic and not my speakers? I'm using the razer nommo pro, I don't have a sound card, I use the built in one that comes with my asus rampage mobo. I dont think its a gpu problem cus i have the rtx2080ti. I need this visualizer to work. I need it!!!! Somebody help... vovoid's discord doesnt work either, I can't join

I'm having a similar issue, but it's not so bad if I switch back and forth inputs a couple of times. GTX 1060 and a gigabyte board.

i bought this when it first came out. stopped using it for a while and it doesn't work using realtex sound card. How about fixing this or giving back refunds for something thats no longer fit for purpose. Not Happy at all. Just seen this thread is last year and still no fix. i'll be uninstalling this may the programmers be damed.

Sorry for the outburst but when i seen that people had this problem from last year with no fix i was perplexed . The beta does work without a choose your own sound card multi choice question.
I only realised this software is free, only the DLC packs where bought so no refund there then. Thanks to the Developer for the reply and again Sorry.

I'm curious as I don't fully understand what you mean here, do you mean that the beta ignores what API you choose when you start it (when choosing with the grey steam-styled start-up window)?

If so, yes, that box unfortunately is not possible to remove for just the beta. The beta happily ignores that choice though. The multi choice grey window will be removed upon release of the beta.

Instead the API choice is moved to within the player which is much nicer in the end. That box was just an emergency solution to that problem.

Also do you see all the devices in the settings inside the player that you expect to see?

As a side note, with this, it does seem like the beta is good enough to roll out fully, it has so far worked for everyone who had problems before.

did you check that you are playing audio on the same device as you have selected in vsxu?
It initially selects the default output only.
