Please allow us to choose party members
I think it will be good if the game allows players to choose their first 3 party members from the start. I just started a game and was trying to run warlock, bard and druid. While I can S/L the first two members, the last one is randomly generated. After hours of trying and failing I decided to skip the first Act.

I get the idea that the devs want some kind of rogue-like random element in this game but your game is not designed to be play as a fast pace 3 hour long rogue-like campaign. It has 4 chapters and a total of maybe 60+ hours for one run. So please for the sake of god just let us choose the starting members.

You get the druid (Ida) during the first act, about 30 minutes (or less) in. Same with many other heroes. The campaign is story-driven experience and heroes appearing in certain order is part of that. If you want a custom party, just play the Realm mode.

While you are correct, it does not change the fact that it makes starting a campaign run more tedious, if you have a specific playstyle in mind that you want to use.
Depending on which characters you want, getting your desired party going could take a couple of hours. Which means playing with a party and playstyle that you do not really want for a while.
And once you have them, you still need to get quite a few levels before the specific playstyle really appear(need certain cards from each character).

Choosing from all the characters from the start would not really change the campaign's story, but it would make it more fun to start a new campaign.

Are you sure? I'm over 3 hrs in campaign mode and i only have my main hero (monk) the rogue, cleric, swordsman and ranger. I have not seen the druid yet. Maybe its random who is there?

We will keep this as a consideration for a possible reward for finishing the acts once - being able to start subsequent act 1s again with your chosen heroes.

Not who you're replying to but, I figured it was random. I started with the Wizard (Pierre), chose Golemancer. The next two unlocks were Cleric and Swordsman. I next unlocked the Rogue? And I believe I'm still in Act 1 and have yet to had another unlock quest or something since.

Sorry, it's been a while since I've replayed the campaign so having started a new one, I realise now 30 minutes was a wrong estimate. You get Ida when you start hunting for the boss and have two paths: either look for cultist activity or investigate wildlife corruption. Once you unlock the waypoint in Valewoods, Ida will appear. Depending on how fast you're clearing earlier quests, it's closer to 3 hours than 30 minutes.

People were asking for that a long time ago during EA. I don't understand why you can't pick the three you want from the start either.

It really does add nothing to the story or the experience.

I very much agree with this idea. The game is set up to create so many different interesting combinations, why not give players the chance to explore them all intentionally? Even as a post-Act 1 reward, it would be great. I'm only part way through Act 1 right now and I am already thinking about what I'd like to aim for on my next campaign run.
