Depending on which characters you want, getting your desired party going could take a couple of hours. Which means playing with a party and playstyle that you do not really want for a while.
And once you have them, you still need to get quite a few levels before the specific playstyle really appear(need certain cards from each character).
Choosing from all the characters from the start would not really change the campaign's story, but it would make it more fun to start a new campaign.
Are you sure? I'm over 3 hrs in campaign mode and i only have my main hero (monk) the rogue, cleric, swordsman and ranger. I have not seen the druid yet. Maybe its random who is there?
Not who you're replying to but, I figured it was random. I started with the Wizard (Pierre), chose Golemancer. The next two unlocks were Cleric and Swordsman. I next unlocked the Rogue? And I believe I'm still in Act 1 and have yet to had another unlock quest or something since.
It really does add nothing to the story or the experience.
