Nice! One thing I noticed: Energy tap (spellbinder, magic missile build) gives AP, not channel charges. And the ardent mind talent will conveniently allow you to start every battle with the 2 channel required to make use of it and basically cast all your missiles for free. I tend to use my AP for a mana burn - wonderfull card that eventually deals damage in the four digits.

Also, magic missile and magic sword builds are similar in so far as both cards can be mastered to give +1 channel. So you can pile up that channel for a free greater barrier.

Thank you! I will update the guide.

Very nice guide. I've been playing GQ for ... well, a lot of hours, I picked up a few tidbits I did not know about, so thank you.

I've have tremendous success with a mixed affliction party.

Rogue for Poison, Pierre (mixing and matching chill/shock/burn) while shooting for the AoE cards like Glacial Spikes and Arc Lightning, and Kudo. With Kudo, I pick decks with whatever card that tickles my fancy but emphasis on Bleed and cards that utilize it, like Blood Shot. Love Hemophilia (despite the Mastered version losing the extra hit) and as your guide says, Caustic Orb is fine since Rogue is present. Abyssal Strike also rules here.

The only caveat is that you don't have a "tough guy" to help mitigate damage to the squishies, but it's a blast nonetheless.

Again, very nice guide.

What do you mean as "tough guy"? If warlock, I think warlock stopped being tough guy after changes to Blood Pools, they used to give HP to warlock.

Well, by tough guy I meant Lucius or Catherin, if built to be more of a defensive ally, though I'll admit a tank has less meaning in GQ.

Oh, I see now, you were talking about the party of Kudo, Alphonso and Pierre. Pierre can make everyone a tough guy if desired ;)

I'd recommend to change Alphonse Fan of Knives build a little bit:

With a mastered "Hidden Blade" (Draw 2 cards) you can trigger F o K twice before dumping a knife to redraw it again while dealing higher damage (most of the time) compared to another throwing dagger because crit chance effects every hit or use it 3 times to finish most battles early (2x Card itself + 1x copy)

With a hand of 8+ cards a mastered deadly grace(agility on use) is also pretty amazing because you'll get +3 agility before you use your first F o K in addition with a ton of crit chance (72*3 = 216 for me currently).

On my current deck it's around 350x10 Dmg for my first F o K without other buffs like massive bleed.

Crit is applied to first hit only, it is not that great for multi-hit attacks. When you deal 1k+ damage to every enemy in row with one skill, some 50+ damage is not a big deal. I had Alphonso which dealt about 10k damage per turn to an enemy, critical does not help much here.

Normally I'd agree but crit seems bugged with Fan of Knives which doesn't fall off on hits. ^^

I actually checked log last time I played it. It must be a new bug then.

Btw the bug works on twin chakram as well.
Maybe it's because of the high hit frequency.

Edit:
Nvm hit frequency isn't important no problem with Blade Flurry or Rain of Arrows.

But dealing around 12,5k dmg with one fan of knives thanks to crit buffs is definitely not intended. xD

Heya!

Thanks for being so active and making the effort to make this guide! The game might change in the future but of course we will let everyone know so you can update it as time goes on :)

I'll share this with the development team too!

I added Mana Burn build to the guide, it is natural evolution of Magic Missle build for late game.
