Any plans to evolve raid nodes?
I was excited to try my first raid and went through the trouble of preparing my extra characters. Then I did the raid battle and honestly I didn't need them at all.

That... wasn't what I expected, haha. I thought it would be an endurance test with difficulty closer to a boss fight, or maybe even multiple bosses in waves.

Any plans for raids coming up?

Yes, raids will be tuned up, though we are still considering the topic of having to spend time equipping your unused heroes, which may not be enjoyed by a portion of the playerbase, making it an ignored mechanic. Is it something you like in particular?

Good to know! I think what appealed to me about what a raid was 2 things. One, a way to create a challenging encounter on demand. Two, the chance to do something meaningful with the heroes I wasn't using.

On the first, that's appealing because on easy or normal I reach a point where I've got everything under control but I still have a lot of game left. So, it's nice to be able to order up a challenge (and that's what I'd want it to be) to keep it interesting. I don't even think it's necessary to make it multi-hero... just a taste of "next-level difficulty" to see how you do.

On the second, missions already help with this, but I've avoided the bounties because leveling and gearing my alts seems like too much investment for the reward. It's not clear that my alts need loot and more skills, but it is clear I won't miss much if they don't. If there were an auto-level option, I'd try it.

I was also hoping the raids would be tougher, like the Scorpion King fight. I really like the ability to develop & equip the heroes I wouldn't otherwise use...makes it feel like they're part of a larger campaign.

And I agree that the other heroes are largely unnecessary currently. I kind of figured they would be needed for Act III, if the difficulty scales up like it did between Act I and Act II.

I dread the idea of levelling up and equipping all (9 to be) heroes properly, I am just too lazy for that. On my last run I easily had enough items and cash and still clould not bring myself to do it.

What's the point, I can only use 3 most of the time anyway. I hope that does not sound overly negative, I am just being honest here.

think of it like many different rpgs, you have your main party then the rest that you dont use. then you get stuck in a story point where some characters are unavailable and you suddenly are facing enemies who are of a level for your "main" party but only have second stringers available.... then you end up having a rough time.

i hope that there will be rewards for leveling up your other characters and if they do somehting like "tierd" or progressivly more difficult raids with higher rewards as you go that could be great. the raids are optional so if you need all the characters leveled and geard to be able to take on the end tier raids then that would be pretty awesome and provide "rewards" that only the more dedicated can obtain (this could also give room for some seriously tough stuff for the higher difficulties).

you could still do the main story stuff without an issue but getting those "secret" and "hidden" bosses, gear, character interactions, maybe special cards or talents would mean doing more in story mode than just "kill the stuff collect the loot". having some of those things being tied to already optional parts to the game would be a pretty good move, hey having those "potential" end game raids being only accessable through sidequests and the sort would also enrichen the overall game and make a even more solid distinction between story mode and an endless realm run.

After playing this game i have to say the idea of having 6-9 characters on a raid scale is very appealing for me. I always level up every character that is given to me. And i love larger battles.
Currently raids are optional. You gain exp and good items from it, but no one needs to do them. So i vote that there would be 2 types of raids. A small one and a large one.

The small one would have a party of 3 and it would be an endurance battle with like 15-20 enemies and a boss enemy at the end. Rewards could be 1 legendary item and other extras and gold.

The large one would have 6-9 characters. It could have a very large field something like 8x8. It would have something like 50 enemies with 2-3 bosses in equal intervals. Also the players shouldn't be able to block the back field with rocks to deny reinforcements. Rewards could be like 3-5 legendary items with alot of extras and gold.

I would prefer having the raids with other heroes staying optional. Giving legendary items makes the raids mandatory and personally I don't like it.
