the new version is rather buggy right now but the core idea of making stuff with metal and selling them is there

The creator's the same, the core aspect's the same, the unstable branch is rebuilt on UE5 from the ground up though, with mp consideration kept in mind. So technically... technically its a different game under the same product - Cause for the most part, its different code and what not.

some mechanics are built in a different way, some are focused in on, some have been benched, etc.
im not talking it down, but it just feels like a full new game its far from the game we are used to and in my opinion its not the same it feels way to diffrent i hope the dev either continues to update the older version but also does whatever he is doing with this new game, the dev also might as well change the name because it doesnt match what the new version is

well i don't think the old version is going to be worked on since its version 1 and version 2. i did like the characters from the first version and the art style but i so like being able to build and design your shop that the new version has

as for the name how dose it not match the name? you still make weapons to sell them. granted there are still a lot of tweaks that are needed to flush it out
Ah, the Ship of Theseus. Replace each piece of a ship slowly, and is it the same ship?

Or on this case, the Game of Dasius. And in both cases? Its all on the eye of the beholder.
the new version is just diffrent from what it was, its been built in a crappy way the design is just off, not to mention you could build and customize your shop in the old version too, as far as im concerned this isnt my little blacksmith anymore its a completely new game therefor he should change the name,
so for the first one its literlly in the name its meant to be a small shop that you make weapons from and sell from and i loved the little sercrets he had in that version, now we've been given this, i dont even know what to call it
kinda wish i could be refunded

Help me understand.

The new version: you create weapons, customers stop by, buy the weapons and leave. The weapon creation is the same: Buy the resources, make the items individually, put them together and put it up for sale. How is this any different from the first version?
Dasius, it's very different from the first version. I'm not really sure what versions are in discussion here, but I'll use Alpha 1.2 as a basis. The differences are for one, the art work. In the Alpha version weapons had contrast, the hilts, guards, and blade heads all looked different so to add a clarity in the weapon we created. In the Unstable version everything is the same color and style. Handles look like pipes, unlike the alpha version where you can see one hand and two hand normal hilts with a leather wrap pattern on them, and angel hilts with rings and feathers. Everything had their own flavor in that game which made it ascetically pleasing. The mechanics are the same yes, customers come in and order / buy weapons. But the actual game mechanics are quite different. The feel we have for one version doesn't cross over if you know what I'm saying. It's like learning a whole new game
I quite frankly like the way the forge mechanic worked in the Alpha version as well. You put bars on there, hit the bellows and it takes a minute for the metal to get hot. In the unstable branch you get a crude sound, then BAM. it's hot. and it NEVER cools down. I know it's minor details, but we're talking about differences here

Ah, I think I understand. Thanx for the feedback.

The handles look like that because you can now craft all of those components from 1.2. The pummel and the straps you see in 1.2 can optionally be crafted and added. The straps can't be crafted yet but you can find those in some chests if you're lucky. I'll add them as a purchaseable in a shop or something. I also do plan on adding more variety handles.

In terms of some of the mechanics, i'll make a more concerned effort to implement more of what players liked from the first. The heating/cooling mechanic i'll look into for sure.

Again, appreciate the feedback.

Are you referencing the unstable build? Because you can always switch between the three versions.
Yeah the new version is bad with having to but skills to use better metals is crappy to me but i hate that they added custom orders which is annoying to deal with because the orders are super specific and require you to make like three weapons at once I miss the old version

if there was a way to turn off special requests and just have people show up to buy one of the items that you have set out that way i can just make what i want

unless there is someway of having a special request show up and drop off a work request that you can make and they come back in a day or 2 for it? ( kind of like there is for like 15, one handed axes) could be a "special orders" rack were you can slot the items and the work order in so when the customer comes back they can pick it up like normal ?

being able to have a que like the first verson would be nice, its a long wait for them to slowly walk away after turning them down when i dont have something ( even having 1-3 in que on top of what customer that your helping )

There are no custom orders in the new version (0.2). Maybe you're referring to Alpha version 1.2?
