How do I use the Armor workbench?

I bought the armor stand from the shop, but I have no clue how it works :/

I had assumed it was just an armor stand.... What do you mean, Armor workbench? Armor doesn't use a workbench

In the patch notes he calls it an armor workbench, but I'm assuming it's the same thing. Still don't know how to use it though, unless I'm reading too much into it and it's just supposed to be decoration.

As much as I had seen in testing was that Ingots become metal plates and metal plates become pieces of armor that look like the pieces Geoffrey sells, and the adventurer wears, so I didn't assume there was anything else necessary to craft them

Found out. There's a new forging type called plates. Made in misc out of 2 ingots. May stack up to 3 times, but you may need to learn the recipes for different armor pieces and I can't give it to the adventurer. That part may be wrong, cuz sandbox and I haven't tried selling it yet.

Apparently the Armor Stand is used to place a leather cuirass on, and then you can "e" pickup and place armor pieces to it, but you're required to be accurate.

The stand is 1 silver rep 2, and the cuirasses are each 1 silver, afaik. (I say each, because each time you fully use up the cuirass)

Can confirm what Kurzidan said. Once you have the armor stand you need to buy leather armor pieces from the parts shop, than make the individual pieces. 2 ingots makes 1 metal plate, 1 plate makes half a gauntlet, 2 plates makes the front or back half of the chest armor. You put the leather on the stand, then you put the forged metal pieces on (you have to hold E for the metal, but not the leather). Once you attach all pieces you can pull the armor right off and sell it, no idea if you can give it to the adventurer though as he seems to have gotten lost in a dungeon somewhere...
(Edit) I know you can make a stack of 3 metal plates as well, but my only option there is an error that makes a great sword blade.

First get to reputation level 2 and buy the armor stand from the shop across from the started shop. Then you take 2 ingots, heat them, put them on the anvil. When you go to select what to make, under misc., their is a an item called "metal plate". make that, than place that back on the anvil (you have to pick it up before the crafting menu recognizes it) when you go to craft again you should see armor options. You also have to buy leather armor from the shop guy, put the leather on the armor stand, than your forged armor pieces. 1 metal plate makes half a gauntlet, 2 plates makes the front or back piece of chest armor. If their are any other armor types you can currently make than you need to learn them from skill books.
