One Finger Death Punch 2

One Finger Death Punch 2

Controller or Mouse?
Just curious what everyone prefers for this, as I couldn't imagine using a mouse for very long but I'm a bit bias when it comes to such things. I can see the advantage a mouse would have at higher speeds... but my training from NES days negates it somewhat.

Anyway what do you prefer?

I use an Xbox One controller. I think you're right about the mouse being advantageous at high speeds, but i find my hand gets cramped up quicker with a mouse, so I prefer the controller.

I find mouse can more easily combat high speed, power sword level brawlers. I started with gamepad and honestly liked it more, but I was tired of getting my ass handed to me by the aforementioned enemies, so I switched.

I tried both, though on controller I did not use X and B (how are you supposed to press those quickly enough?), but rather Left and Rift shoulder buttons which made it almost as fast as the mouse. While also not giving you instant carpal tunnel syndrome after a few levels. Still mouse is a bit easier to execute very fast in my experience.

I play alot of shooter games as well so mouse its natural for me (i have a xbox controller also, but honestly didn't try it). Beat whole OFDP1 with mouse. But using RB+LB sounds interesting.

Try keyboard instead.

I prefer the mouse and find that I'm about 15% faster with a mouse.

Controller, using the face buttons more like an arcade panel, so right hand over with two fingers on X and B.

Playing on mouse is just trying to destroy your mouse, and your hand.

Thanks for the responses! I tried the mouse but like said above I feared breaking it lol. I never considered RB-LB though, sounds like a fantastic compromise since I do hit a wall at high speeds with the normal buttons. Love this and the first game to death so I'll be giving it a shot to the shoulder bumpers to see how it fits me.

OFDP1 was definitely keyboard for me (A and S), but this time around I'm preferring the mouse. The bumpers on the controller work well for me too, but keeping my fingers splayed in the "vulcan salute" position while holding the controller quickly fatigues my hand.

I use keyboard, right hand on arrow keys. Index finger for left and ring finger for right.

Mouse is probably the easiest to use, but on higher speeds I have some problems with brawlers. When using keyboard - I never have issues with them.

I almost always played with keyboard and mouse.
With this game the mouse is natural for me.
On long sessions on survival modes, I rest my fingers (and my eyes and brain) during the little slow session with blue ennemies and during animations
