Too tough for me.
I am not the best of the bunch, but I do give my all to complete whatever challenge a game throws at me. But, even after trying 30 times and adjusting my skill distribution, it is simply not possible for me to progress forward in the game (the final level of a region has around 750 enemies and I always fail at 250, always). I have become tired of trying. What is the alternative for players who simply can't go past their limit? Is there no way for them to decrease the speed a bit and decrease the number of projectiles. For some reason, there are just so many damn projectiles on the screen, conveniently followed by a boss in between that destroys the rhythm. I didn't have this kind of problem with the last game and I completed that game's student and master without a sweat.

you can decrease the speed. also, enemies are random now, so just keep trying, eventually you'll run into fewer bosses or brawlers. and if you're at the point where the final level has 700+ enemies (map 8 had 600 or so, so you must be on map 9), you should have most, if not all, of the skill points and so most skills unlocked and maxed.

Skills are not the problem. Why, at just the 250th mark, is there a sudden rise in the difficulty. If it would have been so random, I would not have been failing at the same mark. Over and over again, the same thing happens. I keep trying hoping that this time it won't be like before, but it is always the same. It is not random, cannot be.

I died around the same time on the bonus levels too, with around 300 enemies left, because by then speed increased so much I couldn't keep up, plus it has more difficult enemies, but levels are still random, to a certain extent anyway. you could memorize rounds in the first game because enemies weren't randomized, you can't in this one, because they are. you played this level many times, you should've noticed it's not the same pattern every time. skills don't reset on starting a new level either, so you can end up with a bunch of them going off as soon as you start, making things randomly easier or more difficult when they're wasted on nothing.

No, the final level is not random. I have been trying to do it with increased difficulty for a while, so I'm 100% sure the same enemy waves keep coming over and over again.
Too bad, there is no other way than just to keep trying. These projectile volleys are the worst points, it's fairly hard not to sacrifice some health, you simply need to avoid losing HP at the other periods of the level. Don't give up, you will adapt over time and eventually nail this.

that makes sense, at least a little effort went into hand-crafting levels, if only a handful of them. I heard the last plinko level isn't random either, and maybe the extra hard bonus levels are like this as well.

Would a Revenge Token work? From what I read, that would allow you to restart the level with some bonuses in order to get past it more easily.

Some levels don't allow you to use the revenge token. And it's such a bad design. The game gives us something, but when you need it the most - you can't use it. It's frustrating.

Yeah I agree that revenge tokens should be usable in all story levels(except for the 2 bonus levels I guess). You get a lot of them and if people want/need to actually use them that should be fine all the way to the credits.

The level I am stuck on requires me to complete it in order for me to move to the next region. Also, it doesn't allow me to use Revenge Token.

Stuck here at the same point in the game, though at the 600'ish bonus level that is the exit to the map. (heaven / hell world map exit). I'ma just too slow, too many projectiles, bazzilion brawlers/bosses, can't use revenge token. El'mucho' sadness. :cozycastondeath:

Yeah I'm in the exact same position.

Final level, can't get past the~250 enemy point, and am screaming over the fact I can't use a revenge token when I've never needed then until now.

Devs, come on give us a bone here

I am about 50% done the main maps and the level I am on is very similar to what you all are on. but I start with 920 mobs and the most I have been able to clear is just over 500. I finally gave up & personally I don't know if I want to keep going. That stage imo kinda killed the game for me & it's a shame too, because i really enjoy the game. But it is just too damn frustrating.

It's a Pixel Level aka Super Unfair Bonus Round. This one is probably even worse than the final level. It's more random and probably also faster.

I have to agree with the OP here.
I have completed 71% of all maps, most of them 100% and those I've beaten are with a 5 out of 5 stars rating.

But when there are too many enemies, let's say over 600, I have zero chance of beating them.

Additionally I don't see any improvement in my dexterity on top of that. It gets worse.

Having collected and never used around 33 revenge tokens doesn't help either.

Then there are 150 Enemies - miss and you die - levels and I beat them first try.

The difficulty curve has been great so far, even though I tend to prefer shorter levels with less or no health.
But there has to be a way to make things more accessible for those lacking the dexterity or stamina to finish ultra long levels.

If you want endless non stopping hordes getting faster all the time there is the survival mode for that.
