Travel without combat in Arcology Warrens
Hey devs (if you read these discussions),

I'm really enjoying The Ascent. Even though I hate the twin-stick movement controls and have died more times than I remember because my character is pointing the wrong way while moving. The atmosphere of the game and the world you have built keeps me coming back again and again.

There is, however, one thing I would really like to see removed from the game - and that's the need to fight my way to the elevator in Arcology Warrens each time I need to move between levels to go to Arcology HighStreet.

I really don't see what value this adds to the game. At the times I'm needing to access the lift, I've selected a mission, and just want to get to the mission location to start playing. Going into combat just to access a mechanism to get between levels is really annoying. Especially when I don't have to do the same thing on HighStreet.

I love the fact that I can choose between Trains or Taxis on a single level, depending on how much I want to explore an area or how much time I have to game. Please make it as simple to travel between levels.

Personally if find the game funner with Mouse and keyboard as the controller tends feel like your character is stuck on a spinning chair that cant quite stop. Mouse lets you aim and hold it with much less effort. This is just my opinion though. This said I do still like controller for some other PC games.

The reason for the combat in the Warrens is to really drive home just how different of a world it is to live on each level of the oncology. Highstreet dont have thugs camping out near the elevator because it is better maintained. Security keeps the streets safer. Its cleaner. Business's look nicer and thrive. Were as down in the Warrens, its a wild west of gang violence and nitty gritty gutter trash. Every one is trying to survive and mostly by taking from one another. The security is not paid enough to care about the warrens. Its a level of immersion and story telling with out the player having to read it.

I just want more game and less work. Arcology combat feels like work.
