New game +

Does New Game + even work? I have 4 characters that have beaten the game and none of them can start New Game +. The New Game + button is greyed out on all of them and it says i must beat the game first to start New Game +

need to rejoin the game several times. open codex click around go to main menu and so on

some people said hosting new game plus (just clikcing not starting it) unlocked it for there singleplayer
its a buggy mess like always.

I'm talking single player here. I know there is some problem with co-op but given how i haven't played multi ever it doesn't concern me.

but clicking the option new game plus host multiplayer (not starting it) opened the new game plus with same character in singeplayer tab.

New Game + for multiplayer is also grayed out - can't host that either. Both Online and Couch.

Well this is basically game breaking - hope they fix it soon...Is this forum the right place to cry about it by the way?

oddly enough, it started working for me.

I started a completely fresh campaign, then backed out and loaded up one of my old characters. Then, once I was running around the map, I backed out of that and saw that NG+ was accessible, and was able to create a new file with that character.

Something isn't triggering properly, but it does seem to work if you jump through a few hoops.

@Bernabucket Thank you for answering. I was just waiting to sink my teeth into NG+ - 4 characters waiting for it and 1 almost done as well - so i was a bit bummed. But now that i know you know i'm sure it's going to be fixed soon :)

i had same issue just continued in my completed game save and it then said in game that game + is available the moment i was in game
then was no issues to start +

I have loaded a faw of my characters games and NG+ wasn't available after that.

Tried launching a singleplayer game (with both my lvl 30 char and a new one) - nothing, it told me I unlocked new game + but nothing doing in the menu.

Ultimately I tried hosting a multiplayer game with my lvl 30, got the same new game + announcement and lo and behold ! Now new game + works.

Don't know if the announcement doesn't register properly or if you NEED to have been in a multiplayer game for it to work, but hey, that's how I fixed it.

(I also made sure to trigger a checkpoint before exiting toward the menu ; who knows, maybe the trigger need to be saved but for some reason it doesn't save it when it triggers ? And since it triggers only once you lose the chance to save it unless you trigger it again like I did by launching a multiplayer game ? I dunno)
