Crossplay between Game Pass PC & Steam?

Please expand on the answer given in the Cross platform MP Pinned thread. Does crossplay work between Steam and Game Pass on PC, or is Game Pass PC considered an "Xbox platform?"

You answered your own question. Game Pass (windows 10) is part of the Xbox Platform. Read their pinned post, it's pretty clear.

"The Ascent has cross-play between Windows 10 and the Xbox platforms (Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S/X).

Read your own quote. They specify the Xbox platforms as "(Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S/X)." Nowhere does it list Game Pass PC as an Xbox platform. They need to clarify that point.
