Also, I can confirm that I have had issues with the character spinning in circles at high speeds in the menu when I'm just trying to turn them slowly. It could be related to that, but a restart of the game for me fixes it until it crops up again... maybe somehow that crept into the actual shooting controls too, or you have something on your computer causing an issue?
I definitely wouldn't rule out a bug in the game...
You have to develop a sense of the angle between your character and the enemy on screen (both of which vary in position screen) and the angle with your controller. It's not easy by any means, but it is possible to hit enemies on the first shot, every shot, with semi-automatic weapons, WITHOUT a laser sight, when both of you are on the move if you develop the skill. It's not pointing and click like it is with the mouse.
Also, I don't know how you are using the stick, but if you aren't already make sure to hold it at its edge limits the entire time. Don't let it float in the middle between center and edge. Strafing left or right also helps move your line of fire so it intersects. You should always be moving anyways
Eventually you'll get used to it.
Good term for this is to "ride the gate"
ikr. i've never heard it either. If someone said that to me i would just assume that they were telling me to go ♥♥♥♥ myself.
Testing the controller on windows shows that it is working properly, no iffyness and smooth rotation in those directions.
Ive also noticed this in some other games, and in some apps like the xbox accessories app it also behaves like this. Really annoying me as its hard to tell if its per game or maybe some weird thing with the xbox accessories app?
