Main Mission Not Advancing?

I'm working on the TRADING_PLACES mission. The last step I completed was "return to 438 hung", which I did. That particular step of the mission has a check mark beside it in the mission log, so the game is registering that I did that part. If there is supposed to be another step in the mission, (which there is according to a walk-through I looked at), it isn't showing it.

Should the mission advance at this point? Should it trigger another mission under the "Main Missions" tab? Do I need to do some side quests before it will advance? Or is my game bugged and there's nothing I can do about it?

Ya, the mission should advance, he tells you were to go find the guy you're looking for. 438 Hung sends you to the Cosmodrome, try looking at your map for a green waypoint.

The waypoint isn't there. I went to the Cosmodrome anyway since the walk-through said that's the next step. I fought the enemies that were there but I still didn't get an indication that the mission has advanced. In the Mission tab under TRADING_PLACES it still shows "return to 438 hung" as the most recent step, with a check mark beside it.

It seems the siege mech doesn't appear since the mission hasn't properly advanced in the Mission tab.

Sounds like you may have encountered a bug, which would be unfortunate because this game only uses auto save. You could always try verifying the game files.

Is your main mission tab empty? If you press 'O' does the navigation try and lead you anywhere?

I decided to go back and talk to 438 hung again. I talked to him and he repeated the lines he said before about going to the Cosmodrome. In fact, if I talk to him multiple times, he keeps saying those same lines over and over, but the mission still doesn't advance. When I use the navigation key my character just kind of flashes, but it doesn't show a line going to the next location like usual. It seems the mission is stuck.

Ya, it sounds like your save might be bugged. I did this mission not long ago and it definitely advanced, and the waypoint system lead me to the Cosmodrome.

Maybe someone else encountered this problem and found a way around it, but I don't have any other ideas outside of verifying the game files.

If possible send a copy of your save file to the developers so maybe they can patch this issue. You can find the save file here on Windows 10.

To provide another update, when I launched the game today, the Resume button was greyed out and my profile was gone under the Change Character tab. There were still files in the folder where the save games were supposed to be. I'm not as disappointed about this as I might have been otherwise, because I figured I'd have to start a new game anyway due to my original problem.

That's a bummer, at least you weren't too terribly far into the main missions. On the bright side it looks like the developers made some changes to the save system to avoid save files becoming corrupted.

I have the same issue. I already tried making a new Save, because I thought that maybe playing coop messed something up for my first Character. But I am running into the same problem at the exact same place. I will NOT start a new Character. This is a game breaking bu, since you can't advance in the story. And I don't believe it will fundamentally change anything if I make new Saves until it works. I want to enjoy the story I. If there are so many bugs, the game should have been delayed.

Do we have an idea how widespread this problem is? Does it affect a lot of players or just a few? I'd like to start a new game, but I don't want for the same thing to happen again.

I started a new game . I'm at the part where I'm supposed to go to the Cosmodrome. The mission now seems to advance as it should. My current game version is 2.0.5.0.
