Would really like a walk button
In a game as immersive and atmospheric as this, it would really be nice to not have to constantly run all the time. Since you can walk with a controller, the animations are there, and it would be very nice if keyboard players had access to that. Would be very appreciated.

To the obligatory "They don't need to add walk button because I don't need it." responses. I'm asking for an optional button for those of us who want it, you are free to not press the button.

id like both a walk and an out of combat sprint. spamming javelin dodge out of combat to get around faster feels wrong lol

I dig this. If any game should have this, it should be this game.

Thats a good idea actually a toggle walk would be nice.
Always annoying when that feature is over looked by developers for pc games cyberpunk 2077 did that had to get a mod for it. =P

They show our characters walking in plenty of the promotional footage for the game, I thought there was going to be one. Kinda surprised there wasn't tbh.

Same here. I'd really like a walk button. Especially for when navigating the more populated areas.

Hear hear. A dedicated walk key for exactly the reasons OP stated. I'm sick and tired of developers forgetting to port immersive options that already exist for console users.

Yes option to walk would be nice, maybe the game will have some mods soon.

I bought a reWASD license and bound custom walk buttons on toggle and it feels absolutely divine now, the immersion.

I have this problem with a lot of games that don't properly port over controls to keyboard players on PC so it's paying off fantastically. Way easier then messing with VJoy everytime game or drivers update.

Just out of curiosity... why would you even want to walk in this game? The run speed is already terribly slow. If anything, I want to go faster. But ok, to each his own I guess...

Me too.

I know this is not what you'd asked. But you can "walk" holding the right click button.
Vuk Aug 30, 2021 @ 5:13pm
It's for immersion only. Feels great walking in the city properly, taking it in. Holding right click would look like you're paranoid and think everybody wants to murder yo-ok that might be true.

I didn't know about reWASD. Thanks for pointing it out. I've downloaded it the trial version and I've tried to get it working for the toggle but I haven't had any success. I've searched online for tutorials/examples but what I've found hasn't really helped. Could you share how you got it working or post the link to any tutorial where a walk toggle config is explained?

Thanks,

Thanks,

This is the best one: https://forum.rewasd.com/forum/rewasd/technical-questions-aa/218696-slow-walk-kb-keybind-toggle

It's all about deflection sensitivity. You can make it a profile toggle which is numbered 1 through 4 and colored (4 being purple as in the screenshots in link). Or you can toggle it via the key bind (which isn't in the link). It's called [Key Combo] (which may not be included in trial) and allows you to adjust percentage sensitivity. Positive % is forward and negative is backwards for Y axis. Respectively for X axis. PM me if you need further help, I got screenshots for how I setup mine and you can export scripts.

I went postal when I discovered reWASD and spammed this link in every "walk" topic in Mad Max lol and Steam dinged me for it xdd. I was too excited.
