Does anything interesting ever happen in that quest line? Kind of annoying to have to travel there everytime.

The people in this game really needs to learn how to give quests via their mobile phones :/

Depends on the quest. Some, like the once this topic is about, require you to meet up in person, to get the credit chip.

Yes I know, I´m 16h into the game. It´s just that the amount of backtracking is now making me not bother with side quests and I was just doing the casino guy and then he offered me another quest "if I vistit him again" and I feel I just can´t be bothered walking to the same places over and over again.

Side quests in this game is more "If I'm nearby", then something you seek out, unless you really want that XP.
