RainWallpaper

Weather and Location
Previously I asked why other people's location settings were affecting my weather widget. When I found the correct place to state my location, I deleted that question. My new problem is this:

The Location setting in SystemTray ->RAIN (right click) ->Wallpaper Settings -> Weather uses "Auto" location by default. I cannot turn it off permanently. I can turn it off for the current session, and manually set my location, but it always reverts to AUTO after a restart. Because I use NORDVPN, my computer has no idea where it is, So the location in RAIN wallpaper keeps changing. I'd like AUTO Location to remain off permanently. Just remember the setting I manually choose.

Solution to the weather location issue regarding rainwallpaper

head to your installation folder for rainwallpaper,
for example:
steam/steamapps/common/rainwallpaper

now, first you want to go into the wallpaper designer of the wallpaper you want to change the weather location for.
go through the settings and save the wallpaper upon closing.

now you've got the config data you'll need!

head to:
steamapps/common/rainwallpaper/appdata

here you have a "designer.ini" with the weather data inside, which you'll need in the next step.

now head to:
rainwallpaper/appdata/data

select the folder for which monitor you want the wallpaper to be ("monitor0" folder = monitor 1)
go into the monitor folder and proceed to the wallpaper folder you want to edit.

in here you'll see a "config.ini" which you proceed to open and change the values for all values listed below:

first you'll want to change

isAutoLocation=1
to
isAutoLocation=0

now you can insert the weather data you grabbed from your "designer.ini" file.

for example:
cityCode=178086
displayCityName=Munich
cityName=Munich
fullCityName=Germany,Bavaria,Munich

after you changed all your location data save and exit the .ini file and change the properties of the file to "read-only".
this will prevent the application to change the data back.

alternatively you can also change the update interval in the .ini file.

now simply reload rainwallpaper and enjoy your wallpaper with the right location.
