Do you prefer this one or Pioneers of Olive Town?

I've played many hours of Pioneers of Olive Town and love it.
I'm considering buying this one when I'm done.
Would you personally say this one is better than Olive Town?
What do you think this one does better and worse?

hard to say. The GBA friends of mineral town would win hands down but this game's portrait changes bug me so much that i think i like olive town better than the remake.

Portrait aside, FoMT has characters. PoOT has bland cardboard cutouts. There is very little desire or reason to talk to people in poot or see their heart events. They're all boring and offer absolutely no characterization. That just leaves farming and grind in Poot, which is not a very satisfying or engaging loop to begin with.
FoMT is not the greatest by any means, it pales next to Trio of Towns or A Wonderful Life, but Poot plays like shovelware made by a chinese sweatshop developer trying to cash in on a fad.

PoOT had some ideas but they were executed somewhat questionably as PoOT was trying to be very stardew valley but lacked the understanding why people enjoyed SDV, FoMT is the benchmark of what a farming sim should have in terms of overall features, improve upon that you get yourself a game the differentiates itself from the trope maker, to such an end 3oT does seem better compared to PoOT but PoOT's scope is infact greater than 3oT, then again I had that same feeling when I first played SoS the changes were.... questionable at least most of SoS' issues were rectified when 3oT came out but still....

I just hope the new team actually manages to make the franchise better down the line sure they can probably have some input from Hashimoto since he's been the producer and director of the games since Wada stepped down from Marvelous.

And compared to the past titles 3oT is loaded with sooo much content that it's overwhelming yet its the most enjoyable game in the franchise history thus far but YMMV.

If they wanted to see a more lukewarm reception they could probably remade 3oT for the switch/PS4/XBOX or revisit SoS1 by using what people liked in 3oT.... having a shipping bin for one

Poot is more like..."facebook game" for me, no interesting characters, just tending the farm all day. I prefer SOS: FOMT, but both games are good for me.
