Because I know how business projects and game development works. Just because we want something, doesn't mean they will make it happen for us. They already closed the project for SoS:FoMT and they already have a backlog of other game projects that they have. So resources would be focused on creating these new games, new remakes, new ports, etc.
SoS:FoMT has been redesigned with quality of life updates, graphic overhaul, new animals, etc etc. There's so many things happening here, that even if there was a consideration to reintroduce greenhouse, it would have been included within the scope of the project. The fact that it's not here, means that it was never even considered in the first place. Probably due to the same reason it was omitted from the GBA version in the first place.
That's just how game project development works. This game has been around for more than a year now, the Switch version was released in Japan a year early. Then the port to PC happened a lot later. The fact that they're releasing and working on new SoS games in Japan and the rest of the world, suggests that they've closed the SoS:FoMT project. Which means, they're not going to revisit it again unless they ran out of projects (which is very unlikely).
By that time, it would probably be a remake for the next-gen console all over again. And then maybe, you can hope they consider the greenhouse then. Until then, I can be for certain that there will be no DLC whatsoever. That's just not in Marvelous philosophy. They've always been developing games in its entirety. Everything that's in scope will be delivered on release everything that's not in-scope will not be developed or included, so once that's done and no more bugs/issues. They close the project and move on. They don't dwindle in the same game and re-releasing contents in DLC form. That's just not how their business model works.
All im saying is statistics, not about your knowledge in business, you cant say a thing is 100%, you dont have proof or statistics for it. Have seem many games having updates after a year or more. I'm NOT in disagree with your opinion, im just saying statistically we cant say nothing, first because we are not them, second we dont have the data. As i said, is just a chat in the forums. Hope is fun.
Also, i know an example is Doraemon story of seasons, for example, dont have dlc and they went to other projects, perfectly fine.
SO, dont worry man, and relax, all im saying its statistics, just chill. Peace.
You can compare it with other companies that develops and publish AAA games, they have all the capacity, resources, and enough market share to grab players and keep them hooked. So DLCs and content updates are common for them.
But their statistics are irrelevant when you compare them with the statistics of Marvelous and their games. They just don't have the same scope as huge game developers and publishers.
So even if they see this post and know that you want Green house, they would need to think of the business viability of delivering that content. As far as they're concerned only you wanted the Green House, and even if there's a handful of other posts by other people expressing the same thing, it's still a minority of them that's visibly showing interest in that DLC. The rest of the players are either already moved on to play other games or just no longer interested in this game. And the majority of players playing this game is already a minority even amongst the already niche market of farming simulator market.
It's difficult to justify spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to the development team creating a paid DLC that would be sold for like $10, while there's only a handful of people that would buy them. Not where they can make a lot more money by selling whole new games entirely.
And the game files itself are encrypted files. So no community modding would be allowed either.
You're right though, I can't say with 100% certainty that this DLC will never happen. But I'm 99.999999999% confident that this DLC will never happen. So statistically speaking, there's no point in wanting for a DLC that will never come. It's best to just appreciate and be happy with what we already have, than having to want something that we don't have and will never have.
