Kappa Jewel.
I found 8 kappa jewel so far and yes in lv 0 isabella mine the odds extremely rare(I believe more than 50 tried). Now I try to find the last one in lv 40, been trying more than 40 times and i got nothing. Is this real really exist or the odds close enough to cosmically rare?

Remember that the random item is generated when you visit the floor. So saving your game after floor 40 after you arrive is useless. Because if the game doesn't generate the Kappa Jewel when you arrive at floor 40 due to the low chance, you can mine and reload your game infinite number of time and it'll never drop.

Make sure you save your game after digging the ladder on floor 39, and go down so the game generate the random item distribution again. If you can't find it, reload your save file on 39, and go down again to generate a new random item distribution. hopefully the jewel would be generated then.

Since only one jewel can be found in the respective floor. Are you sure level 40 is the only level that you haven't found it yet?

Because, usually if you didn't find the jewel on one floor, you would reload your save file one level above it and go down again to the floor until you find it before you move on to the next floor down.

That way, you can keep track of which floor you haven't passed, so you'll know you haven't found every single thing that's dropped in that floor yet.

Finally after more than 80 tried: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2199274579

The last one is the hardest one. Lv 40 mine is the real hell in this game.

And I find this offensive, this is the way developers add hours of game play to their game, it's boring A farming game isn't supposed to be a grinding game it's so frustrating and boring with no music to top it all 1 Not that the soundtrack is fantastic, but this is plain : I f... my customers and I don't care if give them something enjoyable because i striving on my good name to sale my games. For these times are over. For the price I paid I feel completely cheated

There is also a small nuance added on fogu.com:

For example, after you locate the ninth Goddess Jewel and receive the Goddess Tresure, you must go to bed for the day before the Kappa Jewels will start to appear from rocks in the Lake Mine again.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you get your full price refunded.
That being said, This is how it always have been in the original GBA game, so they don't really change that much. If people were not complaining back then, maybe the complaints today are not warranted.

But the developers did listen to their fans, to be honest. Well Japanese fans, at least. They got rid of the rival marriages in this game because they don't like it in the original game. So if they're not complaining on the sheer number of 255 floors with a lot of grindy RNG nature of the mining. The the devs will keep them in this remake.

Besides, it's not a "must" to grind for the Gems. You can still do other things if you want. You can play in your own terms in your own way. If you need music, open spotify and play something in the background. Seriously, you can look for alternative solutions or workaround to a problem instead of being offended and blaming someone else for the problem.

Think of it the other way around, if they don't put grindy mining system in the game, then players will complain "wait, that's it? I've reached the end-game? there's nothing else to do?" Then they get offended. So putting extra content (which in this case isn't extra as it has always been around since the original) adds extra hours, and you're offended.

Is there anything that you're not offended at?

I noticed this requirement after I do clearing floor 40th for more than 80 times. Almost give up to play SoS.

I knew I would get a hard backlash for just daring say something isn't perfect in this game! But you see, I, for one, am not playing in the nostalgia state of mind, I never played any of the original games, I have been spending hours on SV and My time at Portia and so many others. I love farming games, but if you play this from scratch AFTER all those I loved, I really do not see what the fuss is about but then again, It's my first try for story of seasons I remember playing one Harvest moon once, it was okay but I wasn't expecting much because all the comments were full off references to the original series that were so much better! So when the nostalgia doesn't interfere well, it's not a bad game but nowadays developers often offer worse but also a lot better! You know spotify is great I can listen even to musics of games I loved (Settlers, Anno) and remember the good time I had! Music is a great part of a game ambience it's specific to a game and a big plus! I'll not convince you, you'll not convince me let's not troll this discussion. Every one is entitled to its own opinion you as me. Just to finish on a positive note this is the only game where fishing isn't grinding = big big plus!

At the time, it was new and had no alternatives ;)
In addition, it was a game for a console with incomparably less opportunities and competition.

The developers didn't consider it necessary to replace this nonsense with any worthy reward.

Has anyone ever gotten this before? I'm kinda wondering if they put anything different to the truth treasure in this game since we already know the fatigue and stamina points.

A few things about this:
1- First, there were no pitfalls in the GBA game. While pitfalls make the experience of going down the mine slightly easier (at least less time consuming), it makes the gem hunt experience A LOOT more frustrating.
2- It is a must if you want to marry the Harvest Goddess or the Kappa.
and 3- I'd say the massive popularity of Stardew Valley compared to any of the HM/SoS games is a pretty good indication that the systems in SV are better :|

To be clear: the 1/255 odds for the jewel are **per rock** not per floor. It'd be insane to actually have to reset the floor over 255 times and clear it entirely to get each jewel. Not even FoMT is this bad lul.
