'OFFLINE MODE' SAVED FILE GONE!!!

Omg guys my save was gone!!!! So I played in offline mode yesterday then this afternoon I was about to play but in online mode and I didn't know that can affect my saved file but it was gone?? I font even know if I can get it back, like I played 5 hours in offline mode and it's gone 🥺🥺 (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ BUT my achievements and screenshot are in my steam so my saved files were the only one affected??

I just wanna ask if there is anything I can do to avoid this kind of problem when playing offline?? Do I need to start backing up my files? How? How can I make the steam cloud sync with my 'offline mode' saved files??

Don't sync your save files I guess, saves are located at %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\SOSFoMT back them up.

Thank you for this comment unfortunately the steam cloud overwritten my saves so there is no solution to that anymore. Just started again with my old file from yesterday. But I will definitely backup. Is there any other way to delete files directly on Steam Cloud??

I guess deleting all the save and closing the game will delete it from steam cloud too.

You will be notified if you want to use the save that was in the steam cloud or upload the save you used when you were offline when starting a game, so if you don't want to use it you can just upload the save you used.

If you want to disable steam cloud sync for specific games though you can right click the game, choose properties, on the tabs above choose updates, then uncheck the box for steam cloud synchronization.

Thank you very much for this info. I did click the upload but I think it's bugged?? Since it still downloaded the file from steam cloud. I searched it and read that someone also encountered that problem with a different game.

yeah, from time to time steam bugs out with sync on individual games, the next best thing to do would be to disable steam cloud sync globally

it should be in steam>settings>cloud, then disable the steam cloud sync for apps that support it
