Naming things

Why are you forcing me to do this? I have no creativity and I hate the things I type. Why not just give me a default name for the farm (like the starting character)? The animals will need names as well once available and this is going to be a nightmare down the road.

Mineral Farm, Cow 1, Chicken 1, etc. if you don’t want to deal with thinking up your own names then just do something basic

When I got Back to Nature on PSP, I named all my animals after the food they will eventually become. For example, my cows were named Steak, Jerky, Veal. My chickens were Omelette, Kung Pao, Scrambled, etc. My sheep were Mutton, etc. Try that :D

my namingpattern has been rly off this game, i just picked random girlnames from animes and called the farm the waifu farm as a joke

I also hate naming things but it depends on what exactly it is.
If it's a person, I just name them based off a list of cool names I wrote down (yes I do write down names I like for future use don't judge me)
If it's an animal, then I just give them stupid generic names like Steve or Carl.
But for the life of me I can't figure out what to name locations as. Most of the time I just make up a word in my head that sounds about right to name a location and just stick with it. So my farm ended up being called "Blaxe Farm" whatever the hell that means XD

lol I tought I was the only one that did that. Nice to now that there is people with a similar sense of humor out there!

A friend of Mine names her animals after people from other games, in stardew valley she named the coop animals after harvest moon bachelorettes and barn animals after the bachelors.

That's the thing. The game is pushing responsibility of world building on me when I'm just fresh off the boat. I don't know how these people named the world. How would you feel if you hear about 'Helsreach' farm in a damn country named Bubbles or something? If I keep seeing that kind of juxtaposition in my game, I'd be too bothered to continue.

So name the animals after weapons? I mean I'm naming mine after Medical things. I have a chicken named Syringe. xD The names don't really need thought.
