Where is Dudley?

In the original games, I usually like going to the Inn past 7 PM. However, I notice that he's not even at the counter. Ran tells you to talk to her dad if you wanna buy something but how can I buy something if he's not there? Is my game glitched?

In the back cooking, no doubt. I have never cared about his schedule enough to stalk him all day to write it down, but in my experience he's behind the counter or in the kitchen.

As far as I can tell, he flicks between them like Gotts does whenever I need something. Only real difference is he is inside so time is not moving for you to watch him move back and forth.

Yeah he's there in the afternoon. Only when it's evening that he doesn't show up behind the counter. Kinda odd when Ran tells you to talk to her dad if you wanna buy something. As of writing this comment, I have Dudley at 6 musical notes and Ran with 9 of 10 musical notes. I'll try to max out their FP and see what happens. Then I'll update my post if anything happens

UPDATE
Even with Ran's heart at green and Dudley's FP maxed out, he still doesn't show up behind the counter in the evening. You can only talk to him in the kitchen but can't order anything. Oh well
