So far I like Gray and Cliff, but I can't decide. Who is your favorite Bachelor or Bachelorette and who did you marry?

I always liked Karen, but it seems Ran win this one.
As the boys, um.... cliff is ok but honestly mostly all boys kinda dissapoint me lol ill be lesbian here XD

They are free to choose whichever bachelor/bachelorette. Which is why they choose the female bachelorette for their playthrough.

Hard to choose, they all have their charm.
(Aside from Jennifer, I haven't learned much about her yet)

Elli (Elly) will likely always be my favorite, thanks to Harvest Moon 64 (er... Story of Seasons 64?).
Plus, she just has that warm manner.

Marie is cute as a button, and is smart. Although, her parents are a bit much.

Karen's pretty, and has a lot of spine (so she can definitely handle herself in a situation), but her heavy-drinking is a bit of a buzzkill for me.
(Not a fan of her redesign, though. Karen's new outfit is fine, I could live with it. But her wearing lipstick? That's just not in her character)

Ran's a LOT better in this game. Much nicer. In 64, Ann was... way too fiery-tempered. Her getting a fight with Cliff and giving him a black eye kinda soured me on her.
(I know, Cliff was a bit of a jerk in that game, too, so he probably had it coming, but still...)

Popuri... eh, I'm not as big of a fan in this game, as she's more childish than she was in 64.
Her outfit's cute, though. Too bad you don't get to cure her mother, or meet her dad.
(In ANB, I liked creating a girl farmer with pink hair, and named her Lillia, and pairing her with Rod in that game... just for the laughs. Too bad they can't have a pink-haired daughter that I could name Popuri, and complete the theme.)

So in the end, I'd say Elly is my favorite.

As for the guys, I don't usually bother.

Gray is a lot nicer than he was in 64 (of course, he also wasn't injured by being thrown from a horse).
Cliff is also a lot nicer, as he's not a drifter that was apparently betrayed in the past (like he was in 64). Although, strange that he and Karen aren't cousins anymore.

Rick...is annoying, but at least they toned it down quite a bit in this remake. (also weird that he and Ran/Ann aren't cousins either like in 64)

And Kai, honestly I liked him in 64 better (way more polite), but he's okay here. At least he's nothing like he was in BTN, where he was a bit of a smug jerk.

And the unnamed Doctor, eh, honestly why not give Harris the love? In 64, he was Marie's love interest, and generally a really nice guy (who stuck up for Marie when she was being pressured into a scam).
(I know in BTN, Harris was teased as maybe getting with Aja, but I believe they dropped that in FoMT)
Doctor's okay, but it feels like he has little personality. Maybe it's cause he has no name?

(And no, his name is not Timothy. That was a mistranslation of a dog's name. Nor is it Trent, as that's his grandson's name (though I could see it being his name as well))

But I'd likely have my character go with either Cliff or Kai, as they seem kinda cool.
