The price right now is the regular price for switch (as that one had been reduced already in the past from 50 to 30)
The families have been changed around, personalities have been tweaked, etc.
Jobs have also been changed (such as Popuri's family runs a chicken farm instead of a flower shop; Elly is now a nurse instead of a baker; Mugi(Barley) runs a ranch instead of a teahouse; Ran (Ann)'s family run a Inn/Restaurant instead of a ranch; Manna runs a winery instead of a ranch)
Don't ask me why they switched Mugi and Ran's careers around.
Or why Popuri's family doesn't sell flowers anymore, thus removing the whole point of her name.

(And while rival marriage was removed in this version, even in the old GBA version, the pairings were changed.
Such as Marie ending up with Gray (in 64 it was Harris), Popuri with Kai (instead of Gray); Karen with Rick (instead of Kai); Elly with a new character (instead of Jeff); and Ran... well, okay, she was still with Cliff.)
EDIT: and after typing all the above and posting it, only then did I see the OP say he'd played FoMT.
D'oh!!
That's ok I appreciate it. I didn't know about the rivals being removed so I'll be able to take my time. With these games I do nothing but build up money for the first year and then kind of take it easy by planting lots of grass instead of crops and building relationships.
All of the Story of Seasons games have halted rival marriages since Animal Parade, I think.
(Not just that series. Even games like Stardew Valley don't have it)
Supposedly, Marvelous got rid of it because of Japanese fans hating it.
They either stunk at the game and couldn't get the girl/guy in time, or just hated breaking up a OTP.
(...So now, all one true pairings get broke up. ...Excellent logic, Japan.
