Screen Jumpy/Lag when moving
Hey there, I'm trying to figure out just why my name is laggy. It doesn't happen all the time, at first it's pretty smooth but then it begins to get jerkier and jerkier moving around. I lowered the settings on it as much as I can, and I still run into it.

I thought my computer met the requirements. It seems other people when I search lag have reported it themselves. I'm not very computer savvy to be honest, but these are some of my system settings.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz (6 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 3696 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)

Memory: 16.384GB RAM
Local Disk space: 242gb out of 930GB

Display
Card Name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Chip type: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Display Memory (VRAM) 6052MB

A friend of mine built this computer a couple years ago for me for gaming and it's been pretty good with mostly everything. The graphics card is the same one I see on sites talking about having games like cyberpunk run smoothly, soo... I'm not sure.

Is it my end or is it the games end?

If theres any info that might help let me know.. I'd really like for the game to run smoothly.

Specs seems fine, it might be something else. Check "S.M.A.R.T data" on your hard drive, maybe it's getting old. You sure that other games doesn't lag?
Oh yeah, and does it occur on any specific action?

I seem to have jerky controls sometimes, it is usually when I am running to the right, I just suddenly start walking. I just assumed it was a bug because there isn't any frame drops at the same time.

I would suspect my controller but all my other games seem fine.

It occurs mostly when moving around, nothing else really, just when the screen is moving because my character is.
And it doesn't seem to lag when I play other games, even things with a lot of simulation and elements going on like Sims 4, Two Point hospital, etc... a

I checked the SMART thing it says:

Model Status
WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 OK

It could be getting old. The guy who made it did so a few years back. I don't know if he bought all new parts but seems really reliable.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Weird eh??! I use the keyboard and mouse for my controls, so maybe its something on the games end? My guy doesn't start walking, the screen just lags and jerks as it renders new things on it. I was gifted the game so I am going to keep it and try to keep playing it, but if I had bought it myself unfortunately I would return it, despite loving friends of mineral town so much I grew up playing this on the old consoles :)
Hi, do you still have this problem? I'm having it as well. I just started playing.

Try to turn of the vsync setting. Somehow the nvidia cards have problem with that. I am looking for a prettier solution but haven't found anything yet

Thanks, if I ever go back to it I will give that a try!
I'm also having random animation lag issues, and this computer is brand new. Old one had no issues at all. It doesn't stop me from playing, but it is real annoying when trying to water (running in and out of buildings seems to reset things, though sometimes not for very long).
