winter fishing power berry

is there a secret to it? I have spent so much time fishing in the winter... cans. bones. boots. fish of all kinds and sizes. No power berry. I'm losing my mind, and patience. Is it supposed to be a certain time? Weather? Fishing pole level??

Fishing pole minimum 5 (mithril)... However I have not caught it yet, too, even got a fish king (squid) from here. Anyone got more luck?

From the online guides ive seen it's random and rod lvl has no affect.

This was my understanding, but after 4 days of fishing from 8am to 1am with NO powerberry still (using a level 1 rod) I have to wonder...

Went another day of nothing but fishing and got NOTHING so I decided to power level the fishing pole, got it to Mistral (Mystral? Level 5) and the FIRST thing I caught with it is a power berry...so it's definitely not completely random, and the level of the fishing pole has SOMETHING to do with it.

I duno where you got your online guides from, but two of the most reputable guides both specifies that you need Level 5 Mitril to fish the power berry.

Finally got it, on 27th of Winter, around 8PM, with blessed (6th lvl) fishing rod. This winter I caught more than 30 big fishes, two guardians and a lot, a lot of garbage, before power berry occured. Good luck to you, OP!
