Leveling Up axe
so I sold all the twigs on my farm in the beginning now i'm find it incredibly slow to level up my axe now any suggestions?

but the axe doesnt do anything there

That is how I leveled my axe, the progress will keep going up even though the bar doesn't show it.

The tools don't have to actually be used on what they're intended for just using it anywhere gives you exp. The progress bar won't show movement until you've upgraded it to that ore level, you also don't have to start at copper you can level the tool to mythril and then upgrade it.
